Intoduction

Lena Morales - (16) She is a very kind person likes to talk a lot and especially to her best friend but since her mom died a few days ago after a long battle of cancer she has quietened down to herself and is slowly losing herself the only things that seems to be keeping her alive at the moment are her siblings and volleyball, she feels as if when she plays volleyball she's finally free and enters another world.

Mateo Morales - (18) Mateo is a senior in high school and is very angry at life, unlike Lena who takes care of their little siblings he only seems to care about going to party's, his social life and of course football he is on the school football team. He has a bad relationship with his family and especially his dad after his mom's passing.

Noah Morales - (11) He recently started middle school and has not made it off on the easiest start after losing his mom and becoming introverted into himself, he still tries to act happy and loud in school but inside he's not doing well.. He loves his siblings and he loves their mom but he doesn't get on well with their dad non of them do.

Sofia Morales - (8) The baby of the family, she doesn't really understand what her dad means when he lashes out on everyone she just gets scared by the loud noise. She loves her brothers and sister and despite her young age she really grieves and understands the death of her mom. She is also very sociable in school and doesn't let the grief affect her but deep down it does, being that young and carrying something that heavy wouldn't be easy in any universe.

Diego Morales - Him and Marie split up a few years ago when his drinking addiction got so bad to the point she couldn't bare to be with him anymore he'd constantly be shouting at her and the kids and she couldn't take the abuse anymore. He has now 'stepped up' as the father but in reality since their mom died he has done nothing but put a roof over their head he's constantly shouting at the kids when he's drunk and then when he's sober he claims he didn't mean in and for them to stop being so over dramatic, he's also taken no notice than Lena has basically been parenting Noah and Sofia since her mom died when he's the one that should be not his 16 year old daughter.

Marie (mom) - She was the best mother the kids could've ask for she was kind, caring and when she got diagnosed with cancer it was heartbreaking for the kids to slowly watch her fall apart.

Kai Bennett - (16) Transfers from a small town in Texas and grabs everyone's attention instantly. He is a star basketball player in his age category, very popular and unlike most guys their age he has a kind heart.

Marissa Miller - (16) Lena's best friend and the nicest most sweetest girl ever, she also loves volleyball and plays alongside Lena. She also has a big love for animals (prefers them over humans).

BACKSTORY- Diego moved over from Colombia at 18 for a very big job opportunity and he ended up meeting Marie at a club one night, they fell in love at first sight were always together. They got married and had kids until Diego developed a drinking problem which took over his whole life including him losing his job, Marie couldn't take it anymore and filed for a divorce and took full custody over the kids. She started to struggle after getting diagnosed with stage 3 skin cancer and after a long battle sadly passed away.
