"Moarte! Don't scare my lad away! I just got one, you scared the last three away!" Lacy hollered at the she-devil, but it was in a friendly way I guess you could say.
"Well, don't bring Believers into our room, and maybe I won't scare them away." She said, and sat on her bed looking at me. "Get up idiot, I don't have any powers, just a little magic trick I picked up." She showed me the shock pen, and smiled at me. She looked kinda nice when she smiled, but with everything else, she was just a very scary person. She had pale white skin like she's never been in the sun, and purple hair, with white strips in it. She stretched out only one of her ears with those huge as hell earing things, and wore tall thick leather boots that wet up under her knees. She had on fishnet tights, and an extremely short skirt, to where I currently saw her lacy black underwear. She wore real underwear, and not thongs-lucky for her. She had on a black leather corset that tied in the front, and pushed her boobs up beautifully. There was like mini belts to hold it up, and two lines of material that went down past her underarms, then spread out into see through sleeves. She had dark brown eyes that were practically black, with piercing in the middle of her eyebrows, upper and lower lips. She was a freak, but I found I attractive for some reason. Damn, I think I am just a horny teenage boy...way to follow the stereo type...
I stood up, and decided that Lacy was my better chance at living. "Your name, it sounds...different. Does it mean anything?" I asked, then as soon as she told me, I regretted it.
"It means death, because I killed my mother when I was born. It's Romanian. If you haven't figured it out, I'm half Romanian and half black." I just stared at her in shock, and she gave a deep laugh. "It's a choke kid, learn to laugh a little." Her voice was real deep for a girl, it sounded like she had been smoking for years and her voice was going out.
"Oh, hahaha," I gave a nervous laugh, and looked at her. She wasn't lying about her mother dying, only about being half black...then again, maybe that wasn't a joke either. Her father pinned the death of her mother on her, even named her after it, maybe half her soul really was black. So then, there was nothing to laugh at, only her misery. She was a sweet girl, just no one ever taught her to be.
"Well, I'm going to go back to my room. I'm room 248 if you need anything, just drop by." With that, I walked out, hearing Lacy holler out, "Bye fran!"
I chuckled hearing that, and walked down the stairs, and to my room. When I walked in, I saw as a guy was already there. "Hey, you my roommate?" I asked.
"Yeah, what's it to you though?" The guy turned around, and I realized he was a senior. Shit, I would be placed with a senior.
"Nothing, just asking." I said, and sat on my bed. I watched as he put signs up of the bands, "Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, I Prevail, and Of Mice & Men. I looked on my side, and all I held were books of literature. Moby Dick, The Raven, To Kill a Mockingbird, that sort of thing. The only poster that was held on my wall was of this show Full Metal Alchemist that I watched a while back and liked it, but I never even bothered to watch the second season, because it made me mad that they didn't follow the story line from the first season.
"Um, I'm Nathan by the way." I said without much interest in the matter, but I was hoping to at least get the guy's name to look up his record. Should I be worried?
"Tony." Was all he said and walked to my desk, sitting in the chair. He grabbed my box of stuff dad gave me, and looked at me laughing. "Sun tan lotion? You gonna get a tan on that pasty skin of yours hunk?"
I growled, yanking my box out from his hands, and watched as the box of sugar cubes fell out, and cigarettes popped out. "What the hell?" I asked, and bent down grabbing it. "He gave me cigarettes?"
"Damn! I take back what I said boy, how would you like to be in my club?" He wrapped his arm around me, and I pulled away.
"I rather not." I closed up my box, and walked out with it going outside of the building and threw the woods on the path. When I found a love swing, I sat on it looking threw this stuff. Dad said everything wasn't as it was, I probably should of caught on sooner. I grabbed the bottle of shampoo and conditioner, and without thinking, took a drink out of it. I bend down nearly choking, as that bitter burn of liquor started to seize. I coughed horribly, but eventually managed to calm down.
"Jesus Dad, you could of at least gave me a heads up." I grunted out, and pulled out the coffee cream sniffing it. Nothing was in it. I popped the lid off, and stared at a beer bottle. Wow, Dad really did try this time.
I opened the beer, and drank it in three gulps, then threw it behind me. I sighed, then grabbed the box of mixed coffees, finding six cigars. He seriously wanted me to do some bad habits here!
I laughed to myself, stood up. I walked to my floor putting in a quarter and dialed Dad's number. His voice main came on instantly, and I knew he had to of been in a meeting for his phone to be off. "Please record your message after the beep. Beeeep!"
"Hey Dad, I uh, I just went threw my box. Thanks for all that, I'm gonna have a good time here in this freak show. I don't know, I bet I'm gonna have fun with my roommate being a senior and some southern British girl being my fran apparently. Anyways, just wanted to call to say thanks. Bye Dad."
With that I hung up the phone and walked back to my room, laying on the bed. Huhhh, damn I missed him sometimes. Even if he hurt Ma bad, I missed him. I can't believe I pushed her away and out of here so fast. Mom must be crying right now.
No, she was crying...
