~|Hello! This is my very first time writing a story like this. I started writing about a year ago and found a deep passion in the beautiful art. Writing will forever be something that I love doing. Please ignore any mischaracterization, bad grammar, etc. And lastly- enjoy your read! Thank you! (NONE of the art contained in this story is mine! The first thing Hinata picked up on when living with Kageyama wasn't the way his breath smelled like coffee every morning, or the way he would hide his milk in the back of the fridge. It was the way he was always awake before anyone else, like he didn't trust the world to start without him.
Hinata had been lying on the floor of his messy dorm- as one does- staring at the ceiling and thinking about things that didn't really need thinking on. He heard that this college was one of a kind- some kind of powerhouse where the best-of-the-best played. That should be him- it had to be him!
Hinata's thoughts were abruptly interrupted as the door slammed open with way to much force than needed. Standing there, at the door- was his milk-obsessed teammate from high school.
Kageyama Tobio.
"BAKAGEYAMA?!" "BOKE?!"
Hinata whipped upright from his position on the floor, nearly smacking his head on his wooden desk. "Why're you here?!" "I think I should be asking you the same thing." Kageyama said flatly. Kageyama set down the large box he was holding with a thump. On the side, in bold letters, it read: 'IMPORTANT.'
Kageyama stomped into the room with his oddly calm demeanor in place- he seemed different from the last time Hinata had seen him.- He seemed.. more composed- like he won't try screaming your head off any second-
but he was also different in other ways.
He looked..sort of beautiful?
Hinata snapped out of his trance, walking over to Kageyama.
"What's yer' deal? You following me around?" "Following you?" Kageyama looked genuinely offended. "You're the one in my way." Kageyama said flatly. Hinata spluttered. "That- that isn't the point!"
He pointed at the box on the floor. The one in the floor labeled 'IMPORTANT' like it personally meant something.
"What even is that? Why do you have all your stuff like you're moving out of reality?"
Kageyama glanced at it.
"It's not everything."
"...that doesn't answer my question."
Kageyama sighed like Hinata was making this harder that it needed to be.
"I'm living here."

RomanceSharing a dorm with Kageyama Tobio was never part of Hinata Shoyo's life plan. Unfortunately, neither was arguing over milk at 6 a.m., losing sleep over volleyball, or realizing that some rivalries don't stay on the court.
