Beneath the blazing California sun, two identical teenagers sat shoulder-to-shoulder at a long table positioned in front of a sea of cameras and spectators. Monte and Camari Flowers looked almost impossible to tell apart at first glance, but their personalities were beginning to separate them. Both sat upright with their shoulders squared, their expressions calm and composed, but there was an undeniable excitement hanging in the air.
Lined up neatly across the table were five college football hats: LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Notre Dame.
Five schools.
Five different futures.
Each hat represented months, and in some cases years, of recruiting calls, late-night conversations, campus visits, film sessions, meetings with coaches, promises of playing time, discussions about development, and countless questions about what the next chapter of their football careers could look like.
