"Fara! Fara! Wake up, wake up!"
The voice echoes through the room. As I slowly open my eyes, the room is dark, yet I can see light peeking through the window. I search the room for the person who kept calling me in my sleep.
It’s Rhein, my boyfriend of three years. He looks so good in that white suit with a red tie. I laugh as I get up and walk toward the window, opening it to let the sun flood the room.
"Why is your tie red? Come here, I’ll pick a better one. Black would be better."
"Yes please"
I fix his tie and collar. He’s been with me for three years and he still acts the same. He’s a ten no wonder I always fall for him. With his sun-kissed skin and eyes the color of a shallow ocean, he has that effortless, athletic build the kind of guy who looks good even in a plain white t-shirt. His laugh is loud, infectious, and fills the room

In the future, I would love to have a child who looks exactly like him.

But I guess the future heard me. I guess the future grew jealous of a love that felt too perfect for this world. Because instead of giving me a life with him, the future decided not to include him.
It didn't ask, and it didn't warn me. It just reached into my world and pulled him out, leaving me with a closet full of black ties and a sun that doesn't feel warm anymore. The future didn't just take my Rhein  it took every tomorrow I had planned making sure forever ended much sooner than I was ready for.

I was still smiling, staring at the black tie I’d picked out for his next  interview, imagining how handsome he’d look when he came home. The house was quiet, filled with the lingering scent of his cologne and the peaceful hum of a Tuesday afternoon 12:39PM
Then, my phone buzzed on the nightstand.
I picked it up without looking, expecting a text from him saying he was running late. Instead, it was an unknown number.
"Hello?" I said, my voice light and curious.
"Is this Fara?" The voice on the other end was professional, and terrifyingly calm. "I’m calling from Notre Dame de Chartres General. There’s been an accident involving a Rhein Casion  we need you to come in immediately."
The black tie slipped from my fingers,i didn't ask how he was. I didn't ask what happened. My throat had turned to stone. The "future" I had been dreaming about just minutes ago had suddenly vanished, replaced by a sudden shock and sadness,i enter the cold hospital waiting room.
Reaching his bedside i pulled out my jacket covering it on him.

"Please add more blankets his cold"
I didn't hear any response all i can hear was the machine the machine who kept repeating the same rhythm.
