The universe has a strict set of rules. Just like fire and water can't mix, some souls are born to be enemies. It's a pattern that has repeated for generations: two kids meet, they are told to hate each other, and they spend their lives being pulled apart by a world that won't let them be close.

Every time they try to bridge the gap, the world gets cruel. When life can't keep them separated, the universe uses its final trick to break them: it kills them. This is their cycle. In one life, they were rivals in a gray, vintage world. In another, they were foes in a neon-lit city. Each time they got too close, nature stepped in and ended their story before it could even begin. Death was the only way to keep them away from each other.

But there's a glitch in the system. Even though their bodies died, their souls stayed stuck together.

When they are back, they don't remember the past, but they can feel the old scars. The world is already trying to push them away, waiting for the right moment to strike them down again.

The universe says they must hate each other. Their souls say they've waited long enough.

Their souls say they've waited long enough

In 1920, it all started with a love the world called a sin.

They were just two twenty-year-old boys, young and dumb, caught in a time that hated them. Back then, a love like theirs didn't even have a name; to everyone else, it was just "disgusting" or "wrong." People didn't need weapons to hurt them. They used whispers, cold glares, and a cruelty that never took a day off. They pushed the boys so far into a corner that life felt like a cage with no key.

They weren't just sad; they were exhausted. Their souls were worn thin from years of hiding, lying, and the heavy weight of being told they shouldn't exist. They realized they could never truly survive in a world that refused to see them as human.

On their last day, they sat by the edge of a deep, quiet river. The sun was setting, but they didn't care about the view. They were just holding hands, clinging to the only piece of peace they had left. The water looked dark and cold, but the world they were leaving felt much colder.

One of them turned, his voice breaking the silence like glass. "Are...you ready ?"

The other didn't cry. He didn't even hesitate. He looked into the eyes of the only person who had ever truly loved him and gave a small, tired nod.

Then, something beautiful and heartbreaking happened. In the shadow of the end, they smiled at each other. It wasn't a happy smile, but a relieved one.....the smile of two soldiers finally laying down their arms. For one last second, they weren't "sinners" or "freaks." They were just two boys who loved each other more than they feared the dark.

They didn't wait for the world to kill them. They chose to leave on their own terms, letting the river take the weight they could no longer carry.

As they slipped away, their fingers stayed locked together.....a final act of defiance against a universe that tried to keep them apart.

Nature claimed their bodies, but it accidentally let their souls stay tangled forever.
