"Wait—I have an idea," Neel exclaimed as we walked toward the parking lot.

"What idea?" I asked, already skeptical.

"A fun one." He grinned, that unmistakable mischievous look spreading across his face.

"Okay, fine—what?" I sighed, knowing his ideas were impossible to ignore.

He turned to face me, a smirk firmly in place. I frowned up at him, suspicious.

Without warning, he lifted my left thigh to a ninety-degree angle. I grabbed his arms for support, completely thrown off.

"What are you doing?"

"You'll see," he said.

Before I could protest, he adjusted my arms into a T-pose.

I stood there—one leg up, arms stretched out—feeling utterly ridiculous.

"Just stay like that," he added, stepping back a few feet.

"Whatever you say," I muttered, rolling my eyes as I started to feel stupid.

Then suddenly, he ran toward me.

In one smooth motion, he wrapped an arm under my raised thigh and around my waist. We paused for half a second—just enough for me to register what was happening—before he lifted me like I weighed nothing and started spinning me around.

I burst into laughter, the sound spilling out of me as the world blurred. I loved the feeling of his arms around me, of being held so easily, so securely.

And then I heard it—his laugh, warm and bright, right there with mine.
