Chase's POV
Luckily all my pedalling was worth it as I arrived to school 5 minutes early, giving me time to get to my locker and exchange all my books before class started.

I put in my locker combination and opened my book bag as I removed the books from my bag and put them into my locker, only to take out different books from my locker to put into my book bag.

I was about to close my locker and lock it when I heard obnoxious laughter and talking from down the hall, near the entrance of the main hallway. I turned to see Liam with his arm around Emily, their group of friends around them as they talked about something.

My eye caught someone though. Someone who didn't look his normal self. Matt. Matt was Liam's beta and best friend. He stood just as tall as Liam with sandy blonde hair, and a toned body. He had little freckles that sprinkled across his jawline and his cheeks. He was more adorable than sexy to me. He had a lucky-go-happy attitude and was open to anything. He played Football with Liam and only ever had 2 girlfriends out of the 10+ years I've known him. He was a loyal Beta and friend.

Me and Matt were friends per se. I wasn't fond of the attention of others and in turn, I never really had many friends growing up. But Matt always stood by my side, I had tried on many occasions to deny him of our lopsided friendship but he always stayed.

So, I had just started to avoid him. I was able to mask my scent from him since there were so many people in the kitchen, where I spent most of my time during the day.

I just didn't understand why an attractive Beta like Matt, who was popular and best friends with Alpha Liam, would ever want to be friends with me. The weak Omega, with the unnaturally white hair and freaky gold eyes, which Matt endlessly complimented and was keen on whenever he saw me.

I turned back around and speed walked my way to my first period class before Matt caught sight of me. We shared the same first period but if he caught me in the hallways, we would have been there for eternity with the way Matt talked.

I plopped into my seat right as the bell rung, the teacher started to write quick notes and I quickly wrote them down before he started teaching when all the kids got into class. I heard movement to my right as I closed my notebook.

Since I sat at the back of the class, there was a window to my left meaning a wall meaning no else could sit to my left, but someone could sit on my right side.

And who would be the one to occupy that seat? Matt of course. I looked at him as he sat down but concerned filled my face as I saw the distressed look on his face. Seeing as Matt is almost always happy I quickly became concerned.

"Hey." I said, giving a small wave in his direction. He looked at me and gave me a small smile in return, putting his head down and slumped his shoulders. Now I was extremely concerned, Matt has never been this down, ever.

"Matt? Matt are you okay?" I tried but no answer. I glanced at the clock and saw that class was about to end in less than a minute. I packed all of my belongings and looked over at Matt's desk. Thankfully he hadn't taken any of his books out so that meant I didn't have to pack his stuff.

As soon as the bell rang I quickly grabbed my book bag as well as Matt's and hauled him out of his seat. He was heavy compared to my small frame  but I managed to get him onto his feet.

"Matt, I don't know what's wrong with you but I'm gonna take you back to the pack house, okay?" I explained, pushing him out the door and into the hallway.
