The aircraft had barely come to a halt when the soft murmur of passengers unbuckling their seatbelts filled the cabin. Within a few minutes, Vaani and Ekansh stepped out of the plane and into the bustling corridors of Jaipur International Airport. As Vaani and Ekansh stepped out of Jaipur International Airport, a soft wave of warm air brushed past them.

The surroundings were different from Mumbai. Dry, calm, and a quiet stillness creeping into the sky. Vaani adjusted her bag on her shoulder and looked around, her eyes scanning through the crowd with a spark of excitement. People were walking past her and Ekansh. Some were in a hurry, some were waiting, some were calling out for their families. She slowed down for a second, scanning the faces ahead. And then...

Her gaze paused. At a distance, she spotted a familiar figure standing near the exit gate. Someone was beside her too, but from far it wasn't very clear. She narrowed her eyes, trying to confirm. Before she could-
"Vaani!"

Tara was standing a little away, waving her hand in the air. Vaani's face immediately brightened, and her tiredness went away in a second. "Voh dekho, voh rahi Tara!"
(Look, there she is, Tara!)

She pointed toward her with excitement. Ekansh calmly nodded as he followed her gaze. They both began to move in Tara's direction, but Vaani was unable to stop herself after only a few steps. With a broad smile on her face and her arms already outstretched for an embrace, she burst into a light run. However, Tara did not give her a hug when she got there. Rather, she took a small step back, her face hardening a little. "Kar liya phone silent par? Ab toh mil gayi hogi khushi? Bana liya hoga client, flight chodne ka toh gum hoga nahi tujhe."
(So you kept your phone on silent, huh? Happy now? You must have secured your client, so missing the flight wouldn't bother you, right?)

Vaani's face immediately lost its warmth. Gradually, her hands returned to her sides. She sulked. The words hit instantly. "Bas kar yaar, itna taana kaun marta hai? Itni mushkilo ka samna karke mehnat se yaha tak aayi hu."
(Oh come on, who taunts this much? I've come all the way here after facing so many difficulties.)

Tara crossed her arms, completely unimpressed by her Sentence. "Yeh subah se ab tak ka best joke tha... Tu aur mehnat karke aayi hai? Ho hi nahi sakta. Ghode gadhe jo mila hoga sab bech ke soyi hogi tu."
(That's the best joke of the day. You worked hard to get here? Impossible. You must've just slept through everything after selling off whatever you found.)

Ekansh was standing slightly behind Tara he was unable not to smile. Tara's observation was spot on in strange ways she had just said things that happened, best friends for a reason. Vaani noticed him immediately and her expression combined embarrassment and caution "Aap kya muskura rahe ho? Aap aage chaliye."
(Why are you smiling? You go ahead.)

Tara didn't want to stretch out this moment longer than it was going to already she slightly turned her head and motioned to the guy on her left. "Haan bhaiya, yeh Ved bhaiya hai, bhabhi ke bade papa ke ladke."
(Yes bhaiya, this is Ved, bhabhi's elder uncle's son.)
