### **Episode 2 – The Blackmail Arc**

Free period.

The classroom is noisy. Some students are talking, some scrolling their phones.

Meanwhile, four students — **Reeka, Max, Asher, and Lia** — quietly leave the classroom.

They are best friends and always together.

They decide to go to one of the labs since there is no teacher around.

Back in class, Jenie suddenly looks around.

**Jenie:**
"Wait… where did those four go?"

She means **Max, Reeka, Asher, and Lia**.

Eren, who is sitting nearby, mutters quietly under his breath.

**Eren (whispering):**
"Good thing those four weirdos left…"

Unfortunately for him…

Jenie hears it.

Her eyes suddenly widen and a mischievous smile appears on her face.

**Jenie:**
"Ohooo… so you called them *weirdos*, huh?"

Eren freezes.

He slowly turns toward her.

**Eren:**
"W-what? No… you heard wrong."

But Jenie crosses her arms with a teasing grin.

**Jenie:**
"Relax, Eren. I won’t tell them…"

She pauses dramatically.

**Jenie (smirking):**
"Unless you refuse to do what I say."

Eren sighs internally.

*Eren thought:*
*Great… I’m doomed.*

From that day onward, Jenie starts **playfully blackmailing him**.

**Jenie:**
"Eren, bring me a pen."

**Jenie:**
"Eren, give me your notes."

**Jenie:**
"Eren, go get water for me."

And every time Eren hesitates…

Jenie whispers the same thing.

**Jenie:**
"Should I tell Max, Reeka, Asher, and Lia…?"

Eren immediately gives up.

Esther watches all of this from her seat.

*Esther thought:*
*Jenie is seriously overdoing it…*

But she stays quiet.

Because if she defends Eren, her friends will definitely tease her.

A few days later.

Chemistry Lab.

The whole class is there for practical work.

Jenie is still teasing Eren like usual.

**Jenie:**
"Eren, go bring that flask for me."

Eren looks slightly uncomfortable.

He is naturally **shy and introverted**, so he doesn’t argue.

That’s when Esther suddenly speaks.

**Esther:**
"Jenie, stop it."

Both of them look at her.

**Esther:**
"He’s not your servant."

Jenie raises her eyebrow playfully.

**Jenie:**
"Ohooo… Esther defending Eren?"

Esther quickly looks away.

**Esther:**
"I’m just saying… stop annoying him."

For a moment, Eren is silent.

Then he quietly says—

**Eren:**
"Thanks."

It’s the first proper conversation between them.

They start talking while working in the lab.

The topic somehow shifts to **anime**.

**Eren:**
"You watch anime?"

**Esther:**
"Yeah… sometimes."

**Eren:**
"Same."

The conversation feels surprisingly natural.

After that day, they slowly start talking more.

At first in school.

Then… one night…

Eren sends a message.

**Eren:**
"Hey… did you watch the new anime episode?"

And just like that—

Their **midnight conversations begin.**

As friends.

For now.
