Chapter 1- Acceptance

Tiago's POV

"Here wah nuh, me just a pull up a me yard suh me will deal with this inna the morning and if me cyah deal with it mi will put the police bwoy dem pon it."

"Alright mi boss, inna the morning yuh link me."

"Cool. Mikey, dah phone yah nah go inside with me, suh you know the code."

"Yeah man, handle yours."

The call ended and I turned the phone off and pushed it under my seat. I looked up to the window to see if the lights were off. I made sure everything I had on me, I left in the car. That side of the world should never go inside that house.

"Amoura? I called her name as soon as I entered the house. She wasn't downstairs. She was probably sleeping.

"Ammy?" I said softly. She wasn't in the bed either.

"I'm in the bathroom, babe."

She was sitting on the floor, clutching a pregnancy test and sobbing. I got down to her level and pulled her into me for a hug.

"What happened?"

"I don't even know why I am crying. The test was negative and I felt disappointed."

"You wanted it to be positive?" I broke our hug to look at her face.

"I mean, it's a nice house that we got right here. Why not have a baby? We have everything to start our family.

"We do but look at this Ammy. We are only here two times out of the week because your dad is sick, we've been talk about this already."

"I know but sometimes I feel like I need to live my life and that's with you Tiago. I need you in this house every night."

Every now and then she gets like this and I had to understand the emotional roller-coaster she was riding given her current circumstances.

"It's ok, I am here and we will always figure this out. You know I love you and I need you more than anything. Get up off the floor."

I helped her up and got her to the bed then went to make her some warm tea. "Drink this and see if you can get some sleep."

"What would I do without you?"

"Yuh nah go find that out. Drink the tea. I'm going to get a shower and come cuddle up under yuh big titty dem suh me can get some sleep." That made her giggle. I love when she is happy, because it makes me happy.

I got right into the bed and gave her exactly what she needed to calm her until 2 am in the morning. She slept in my arms until morning light. She brought so much peace to my life and I vowed that anything came into my way to disrupt that, it will be removed.

Amoura's POV

"You heard what I said?" Charlene asked but I didn't hear shit, my mind was on this morning. The way that man made love to me last and this morning still had my nerve shaking.

"Sorry, my mind is a little distant."

"Let me guess, Tiago didn't come home last night?"

"No, he came home but this morning I heard him whispering on his phone. I don't know, maybe I am overthinking."

Amoura, yuh know the type of man Tiago is and yuh know he doesn't want you to know about that side of the world. Stop stressing yourself out."

"I know but it's so hard not to think. I want so much more for me and him, I want to start a family."
