Veytì was from a clan who was once so peaceful, so incredibly welcoming to other clans who came to travel or to stay. Holding yearly celebrations with their neighboring clan, sharing stories, sitting together as a whole and being a clan of harmony.
Veytì was no one special, no tsakarem, just Veytì, daughter of her people best painter, and a fine warrior. Never one for a few words, that was her sister Vey'ra, the one who was vocal, light of the clan. A light shade of bruised indigo, eyes the perfect shade of blue-violet. Her hair, always kept in the braids her mother does, to everyone she was the perfect sister, even Veytì thought so of her older sister.
Then there was Tsyey'lu, the oldest brother, a fine warrior in the making, always under their fathers wing into becoming a fine warrior himself. Veytì looked up to him the most, seeing him as her own will to live, despite their family being outcasts of the Veyli'Uina. She loved seeing him thrive, loved seeing Vey'ra thrive. But she saw nothing for herself but to become the best healer she can. Everything stayed the same for months, until the sky people showed up.
At first the people had no problem with it, until Veytì's older brother was caught and killed by the RDA when she was just five. Veytì couldn't show emotion, she didn't know how to, but she listened to her mother and father sob for their lost son, holding his songcord. She watched her sisters light dim. The next five years they had a slight problem with the pink skins. And everything else went downhill when she was just 10. Veytì watched Vey'ra sneak out, but she didn't stop her for whatever reason. The next day, Vey'ra was found dead, having been caught in an explosion, her father Akwey'tan, flew to fight with others. But he never returned. It was just her mother Mo'ara and herself. But it was never just her and her mom. Her mom felt heartbroken, stopped painting, stopped being her mother. Just two years later, she died of heartbreak. Now it really was just Veytì.
And she had a problem with the people who took her only family away from her.
