Abominable Fail
I want to welcome you in to my heart and the dreamy haven that surrounds it, because I love this little world and everyone in it. So, it all started when I became connected to Kim Soo Hyun. He was hurting because he was accused of something abhorrent, dating Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor. I knew it wasn't him from the first time I heard this rumor.
I unconditionally absorbed everything he was feeling and what they were throwing at him. I sacrificed myself and let all of the pain deteriorate me. I couldn't sleep for a month, I cried a lot and had empath burnouts. I even got sick because of everything that I was carrying. I tried to find closure, but something always made me go back to the same dark place that I was. But eventually, I started healing and I created this little world.
My first step toward healing was buying myself a Trader Joe's roses that I felt were a symbol of him asking for forgiveness, and acknowledging what I did for him. I loved him unconditionally, but Naksu, my best friend, did not. Naksu is not just a fictional character from Alchemy of Souls—oh no—she is my best friend and I would be lost without her. Let me explain, I conjured Naksu's energy and now I have less burnouts and empath crises..
"He should be buying those flowers for you!" Naksu said angrily. I let out a deep exhale. "Naksu, he already did." I said, and Naksu continued to talk as we strolled through the aisles. "I don't see him here," Naksu said, and as I followed my sister, Heidy, I listened to her vent. "If that cheapskate coward were really here, he would apologize and beg for forgiveness." She said, and that gave me an idea. I could create that world, and even though it's not real, it's not imagined either. It's an alternate world that I am in charge of.
When I got home from school, I put the flowers in a vase and I looked at the rose like it was a hypnotic swirl and it became the door to this beautiful world that I created. Everything looked exactly like it did in the real world. Naksu looked at me bewildered, like she didn't know that I could be capable of creating such a world.
"Where...where are we?" She asked, and I smiled at her sweetly and wrapped an arm around her. I caressed her because she was in such bewilderment and then I looked at her. "We're safe in this little world I created. Welcome to my world, and you are the first person I want in it." I said, and she gave me a big hug and she even cried out off pride.
"I'm so proud of you for making your own world." She said, and I gave her a hug. We sat in the ambience of aesthetic camaraderie. Until, I hear a knock on the door. That startled me a bit., "Who is that?" I asked Naksu, and Naksu looked at me with a smile of confusion and a furrowed eyebrow. "Beats me, you're the one who created this world." She responded wittily.
"I'm going to go over there and open the door." I said, and Naksu stays there, like a protector she is. When I opened the door, I saw Kim Soo Hyun holding the flowers that I recently got from Trader Joe's. I saw him with tears in his beautiful eyes. His hands trembled, and the next thing I knew, he was kneeling down. Naksu watched him like a hawk while I was in awe.
"First off, I want to ask you why you absorbed everything? Why did you protect me like that?" He asked. I let the question sink in before answering him. Before pouring my heart to him. "Because I love and care for you, and I wanted you to suffer less." I said, and before he responded, Naksu spoke, taking a step forward. I knew she wouldn't stay silent. She'd tear him to shreds. She glared at Soo Hyun.
"Excuse me, you should be ashamed of asking why she did that!" Naksu yells angrily. "Naksu, he had—" I said, but she cut me off. She looked at him with utter fury and anger. "Instead of asking, you should've thanked her!" Naksu yelled, making Soo Hyun cry more. "You're right, I'm sorry." He said with a trembling voice.
"No, you did what you thought was right." I said with a barely audible tone and I got close to him. "You had a right to know why." I continued, and I put a hand on his shoulder. He then said, "I am sorry that I backstabbed you." He said, crying even more. I gave him a candid hug. "You didn't, society did." I said quietly caressing him and he cried his eyes out. I let him cry. "It's okay, I'm here." I said sweetly.
