"And 500 legal awards go to Ms. Abhira Sharma."

The announcement flashed across the screen on the ABP News channel, showing clips from the award function where Abhira received the prestigious honor.

The next moment, a video played of Abhira warmly hugging Vaani, and during her acceptance speech, she publicly mentioned Vaani in her words of gratitude.

Watching this broadcast, a girl of around sixteen suddenly grew furious. In a fit of rage, she hurled the remote at the television, shattering the screen into two pieces.

"No no no meri life ko hell bana ke yeh aurat khush hai."

The girl began to experience a panic attack as bitter memories flashed before her eyes. She shut them tightly, clutching her head and leaning against the wall for support. The painful memories slowly faded, replaced by the recent image of Abhira hugging Vaani, and she burst into tears.

"Mumma aap mujhe bhool kar uss ghatiya ladki ke saath happy aapne billi family ka rule Tod dia aur mujhe chod kar uss vaani ko choose kia."

The girl was none other than Maira. Overwhelmed with anger, she first threw her laptop and then her iPhone 17 onto the floor. The violent outburst made her feel as if she had committed a crime, yet it did nothing to ease her turmoil. She could not bear the thought of someone replacing her in Abhira's life. She wanted Abhira to choose her instead of Vaani, yet at the same time, she hated Abhira to the core.

Hearing the loud commotion, Armaan barged into Maira's room. His eyes widened in shock at the sight before the room lay in complete disarray, as if a storm had just swept through it, and Maira's condition was no better.

"Aap aisa kaise kar sakri hai," Maira murmured repeatedly.

Armaan rushed to her side and pulled her into a tight embrace, gently ruffling her hair. He was certain that she had seen or heard something related to Abhira, which had triggered such a reaction.

"My billi mumma mujhe vaani ke liye kyun chod ke gaayi," Maira questioned, her eyes filling with tears.

"Mairu shaant ho jaao aur buri yaadon aur bure insaan ke baare main nahi sochte."

His eyes blaze with fury, as though he could burn the entire world with his gaze, yet his heart bled at the sight of his daughter's suffering.

"Main tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karuga abhira tumne ek Parai bacchi ke liye aapni beti ko chod dia I was right tumne maira ko janam nahi dia isliye tum uska dard nahi samjh sakti."

Armaan consoled his daughter, gently placing a strand of hair behind her ear, wiping her tears, and making her drink some water.

"Mairu jaldi se change karke neeche aao phir ham long drive pe chalege aur mehar bhi hame join karne wali hain."

He spoke enthusiastically, hoping to lift Maira's mood and it worked. At the mention of Mehar's name, Maira's spirits brightened. She quickly got up and ran to the restroom to change her clothes.

A small smile crept onto Armaan's face as he saw his daughter's mood improve.

"Jo kaam abhira tumhe karna chaiye woh bahar wala kar raha hai I hate you abhira mera shraap hai tum kabhi khush nahi rahogi maira ka dil dukha ke "

Armaan cursed under his breath. He then picked out her clothes, quietly speaking to himself, and walked out of the room.

Armaan reached downstairs. Ironically, it was not a grand villa but a modest one-storey house, with two bedrooms on the upper floor and one on the ground floor. The house was not even one-fourth the size of the Poddar mansion .
