They used to say bullies are just jealous of you, I've never believed in that dumb statement. I've been bullied my whole life. Why would a bully be jealous of me? It makes no sense.

This time I was walking towards my math class in my college's hallway. When I suddenly got pushed into a locker. I wasn't small, in fact, I was pretty tall and slim, no way I could've fit into a locker. The bullies shut the door, locked it and walked away laughing maniacally. I sighed, even though I was taller than half of the boys from my class, I wasn't really intimidating. I inspected the inside of the locker. The door was decorated with pictures of random people I have never seen before, but most importantly, an anime character, which I recognized almost immediately, Kairen.

Kairen was a popular anime character all girls around the age of 18 or older would swoon over. I personally haven't seen the anime, but my sister who is obsessed with it would always tell me I look and act exactly like him.

After an hour or so the door unlocks and I almost literally fall out of the locker. The girl who opened the door was this beautiful young woman with pink hair. I looked up at her from the ground.

"Hi..." I said awkwardly giving her a small wave.

"Hey, oh my gosh, I've heard what they did to you. That asshole was my brother. Ugh. I swear I'm nothing like him. I immediately reported him to the principal." The girl quickly says. She helps me up and sticks her hand out for me to shake it.

"I'm Liora." I shook her hand. My eyes lit up. This girl saved me. She, Liora, my guardian angel. My soulmate. She will be mine and only mine.

"Wow..." I mumble. She softly tilts her head, a strand of pink hair falling in front of her face, which she quickly brushed behind her ear again.

"I'm- uhm..." I replied. Shit what was that name of that anime character again? Kairen? How do I make that work?

"I'm, uh, Kai," I replied. A little white lie never hurt anybody, right? Liora softly smiled at me. God that smile. She's only allowed to smile at me like that. Those perfect lips. I wish I could touch them. A soft blush creeped onto my face as I realized we were still holding hands. I quickly let go of her hand and awkwardly scratched the back of my head.

"Heh, sorry..." I mumbled. Her hands were soft, I almost immediately regretted letting go. It was silent. Too silent.

"So, you come here often?" I broke the ice and immediately regretted it. Fuck, why did I say that? That's the cringiest pick-up line ever.

"Well, yeah, I go to school here," she replied chuckling softly at my awkwardness. Then it was silent again. Dead silent. Till the bell rang.

"Oh! I got to catch my art class. I'll see you later?" She asked with a smile.

"YES!- I mean. Sure. Heh," I replied. I seemed way too fucking eager. What would she think of me now? She just chuckled. Does she think I'm cute? Is this her way of flirting? Of course, not what the fuck am I thinking. Stupid.

"Okay, see you later, Kai." I waved at her sheepishly as she walked away. Such a beautiful woman...

The next class I had was tech class. I like tech. Tech class was meant to just experiment with things on your laptop, which was a good opportunity for me to search online for some things about sweet, little Liora. As soon as I sat down my fingers typed away on my keyboard. Surname, parents, siblings, pets, address. I needed to know everything about her. The more things I got to know, the more my smile grew. I was so busy searching I didn't even notice the tap on my shoulder, I only noticed when the tap became a shove. I stopped typing and looked at a man sitting behind me.

"Dude, why are you searching for things about my girlfriend?" He asked. Girlfriend? Girlfriend... That was her boyfriend? Not for long... The smile I had quickly faded away.

"Excuse me?" I asked, hoping he had it wrong.

"Liora Rose, my girlfriend? Weirdo..." He mumbled the last part. I looked him up and down. He was wearing our school's football team jacket, his hair was in a neat side part, and his slightly toned skin was glowing. He nudged the boy beside him and laughed with him.

"Loser," the other boy said. Fuck, I should have known. Of course she has a boyfriend... I turned around again, my cheeks glowing red out of embarrassment and quickly closed the tab.
