Starting of a new journey

Nobody's POV:
The trio wanders down the corridor with PB laughing at her own jokes as they walk down a floor to the on ship tavern, the place was crawling with travelers, other hunter and staff from the guild, including palicos and handlers.  Many groups sat about the tavern as each of them look at each other before Briar glances at Jayce and PB before asking:
"Sooooooo y'all wanna grab bar seats? Or should we gamble with a table?" 
He said softly to them, as Jayce stares at him for a few moments as he sits at a bar seat, his gaze intrigued as he teases Briar:
"You don't have to be so nervous tin head, you can speak up and you also don't have to hide behind a damn helmet"
Flustered, Briar quickly sits down quietly as he nervously holds a drink menu up to his face:
"S- Shut up, I- I just like it.. okay..?"
While Jayce teases Briar about his helmet, PB sits down at the seat next to Briar and laughs as she wraps an arm around him
"Don't worry Jaycey, I'm suuuuuuuuure the shy boy has his reasons, but until the softy decides to show us what's under there I guesssssss we should wait until he wishes to show us~"
She said, enthusiasm and teasing in a her voice as  she goes back over to her chair and looks down at her menu.

As the two looked at the menu, Jayce stares the two of them and shrugs before staring down at the drink menu as a barkeep slowly walks over to them as he asks in a deeper voice:
"new bunch ay? Well, what may I get for you three?"
As the three looked up they see an older gentleman with short dark grey hair as if it had been black at some point, pale skin and blue eyes, his outfit was that of a black sleeveless jacket, a red tie, a white button up shirt and long black pants, the older gentleman in his late 50s look at the three patiently.

PB POV:
I look at him in the eyes before quickly glancing at the menu with a devious grin "Oi old man! I'll have a Cider, but I don't know about these two fuck boys"
I look over at Briar and knock on his helmet as he startles and shifts quickly over to look at me "w- what is it?" I glare at him for a moment before smacking his helmet lightly "Order Something ya dingus!!!"
Briar quickly glances at the menu as he back at the bar keep and quietly murmured something over to the bartender as he nods before the bartender goes over to Jayce "I'll just have whatever Ale you'd recommend have here, I'm not picky" he said, trying to be nonchalant as I snort and laugh at him "okay tough guy, pipe down we already get your a dweeb you don't need to add more to it-"
His face goes red as he talks in a bit of a higher tone "W- Well at least I'm not a-"
I give him a dead pan stare, almost daring him to finish his sentence as he stops talking and takes the hint before looking back at the barkeep whose handed drinks to each of us, he got a wooden mug full of bubbling yellow alcohol as I snort and laugh again "PFFFFFFFT it looks like someone pissed in your cup-"
I say before the bartender hands me a glass that's a darker shade of yellowish orange before he pipes up and laughs at it before I stare at him "huh? What???"
He pipes up "Oh nothing, I just didn't know you were like that- you know"
I look at him confused as I ask him "what do you mean???"
He laughs a bit "well I mean, I didn't know you were into women- or twinks since you're into fruity things"
As he remark I stare at him even more confused before giving a frustrated sigh "ugh shut it"

Briar POV:
As the two bicker back and forth like siblings the barkeep hands me a glass with a non-alcoholic butter beer as I open my helmet slightly, drinking a bit before the barkeep leans in "Ay kid, good luck with those two, they look like they'll be a pain"
I smile a bit, tasting the butterscotch drink as I speak in a soft tone "thank you sir, I appreciate it a- and I'll try and look out for them-.. I really don't want them to kill each other before we land" I say making a slight towards them as the barkeep laughs a bit before talking in a jollier voice "kid I like ya, your drinks for free"
As he says that I smile a bit behind my helmet, before leaning in, the palms of both of my hands raised into the air for a moment before smacking both Jayce and PB before, Jayce's face smacking into his his Ale with his nose going directly into his cup and PBs forehead bumping into the table "Thank you kindly Mr. Barkeep, and as for these two I apologize for their bickering, I'll try and keep them in check"

He laughs again from behind the counter before speaking in a more joyful tone "thanks kid, also, you can call me Jabber"
I lean in and help PB up and do the same with Jayce before leaning in a bit more "thank you sir, my name is Briar and it's a pleasure to meet you as well, the two dunces here are PB and Jayce"
The two newer hunters look at Briar with a bout of anger and both shout "THE FUCK YOU DO THAT FOR-"
As I look at them and put my hands up "stopped your bickering didn't I?"
They both look at each other and drink their respective alcoholic drinks as Briar goes back to drinking his butter beer, enjoying the peace

Nobody's POV:
Jayce leans back from almost chugging his ale fully before looking at the two hunters beside him "So, what are the stories behind both of ya?" PB perks up almost eager to say as if she'd been waiting for the question her whole life "I came from a small secluded village in the Coral Highlands, grew up around monsters and killed a good bit of em or captured them for village use like riding and daily life, most of them were small ones and useful, so most I didn't have to really fight or kill most of em, we had a town guard monster who was a Tobi Kadachi, the furry fella was such a cutie~ I loved him so much~"
As she said that Jayce smirked a bit and laughed a little "if you loved him so much why didn't you fuck him-"

PB blushes for a second before answering embarrassed by the thought "h- huh?? What no never I'd never do that, i- its just a cute creature that I spent a lot of time with a- and nothing more-"
Jayce butts in again "not helping your case madam monster fucker"
She pouts a bit and stares down at the ground "S- Shut up.. l- let's move on to someone else"

Jayce looks past her over to Briar "Yo! Bucket head, what's your story?"
Briar looks over to the two and shrugs "Eh I'm not anything special, just a normal ass hunter nothing much, not much of a back story honestly"
Briar then blankly stares at them, thanking his helmet is blocking their view of his face as he panics a bit (well fuck, I hope they buy that.. I do NOT wanna tell them about THAT)
The two hunters shrug as well as PB looks at Jayce "that just leaves the dweeb in blue armor, now spill it!!"

Jayce takes a deep breath as he speaks in a calm tone "I lived in a small swampland village, the place didn't really have a name, but it was in the middle of no where, had a Lagiacraus I'd occasionally tumble with heh it was scared of me~"
He says in a cocky tone of voice, Briar and PB looking at each other before back at him as PB pipes up "Uh huh, whatever you need to say buddy, so how were you against its lightning?"
Jayce looks at her dumbfounded "lightning? What lightning? It never used lightning?"
Briar snorts and PB breaks out into laughter "Shiiiiiiiit it was playing with you, so your whole backstory is- is that you were made a bitch by a leviathan? Hahahahaha you are such a GOOBER"
His face goes red as he tries to cover his face "S- Shut it a- at least I- I had some training rather than monster fucking.."
"H- Hey!!!" PB interjects, her face a bright red while Briar lets out a small laugh as the two banter, enjoying the moment of peace and calm.

Nobody's POV:
As the airship passes over the scarlet forests, the sky booming with lightning, a few crates of cargo slide off the top of the ship and down into the trees below breaking upon impact on something as a roar is heard from below, not loud enough to reach the ship, but loud enough for all the creatures around it to understand whatever it was.. was pissed.. as a large red streak shoots up into the clouds.
