Brian Banner is a well-known scientist, famous for his radioactive experiments and intelligence. But not everyone knows he is hiding a darker secret.

The light flickers in the dark laboratory. Machines hum, and liquid-filled glass containers make murmuring noises. The center of attention, however, is in the corner of the lab—a man hunched over a table, scribbling something and muttering every second. That man is Brian Banner.

He looks exhausted, almost maniacal—brown hair sticking out in every direction, bloodshot eyes, muttering to himself nonstop. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he laughs hysterically.

“HAHAHA! YES!!” he shouts. “After months of experimenting, I finally did it!”
He laughs again, his smile manic, his eyes twitching. There, a new biochemical weapon has been created—a super radioactive radiation capable of changing people’s DNA. It can manipulate and strengthen a person’s powers.

The universe was formed by the Big Bang, where stars and matter exploded from a single point, creating planets, stars, and energy. This is how people on Earth came to be born with superpowers.

(A Day Later) ----------------------

The day has finally come for Brian Banner to test the new biochemical weapon he created and make an absolute change in human history.
Brian Banner sits on one of the stools inside the lab. Beside him is a syringe holding a glowing green chemical, ready to be injected into his body. He rolls up the sleeve of his dress shirt and grips the syringe tightly.

“…This is it. It’s time to revoke humanity’s superheroes and justice,” he mutters maniacally.
He injects the syringe into the vein of his wrist, wincing and hissing in pain. As the chemical enters his body, a surge of excruciating pain pulses through him.

“URRRGHHHH—!”
He slides off the stool and curls up on the floor, clutching his hand as he watches the veins inside it glow green. A second later, the pain hits again—stronger than before—and everything goes black.

He wakes up an hour later, holding his temple as he slowly stands. His body shakes as he grips the table beside him, memories of what happened earlier flooding back.
He quickly examines his DNA, desperate to know if the biochemical weapon has finally made him stronger. After a minute of testing, the machine finishes its process.
Ding.
He rushes to the monitor, hoping—praying—for results.
……
It did nothing.

------------- (3 years later) ------------

After the failure of the laboratory experiment, Brian Banner married a woman named Rebecca Banner, who was now in labor. Upon receiving the news that his wife was giving birth, Brian rushed to the hospital.
He arrived at the delivery room just as the labor had ended.

As he entered, he saw a doctor carrying their newborn while speaking softly to the half-asleep, exhausted mother. Rebecca noticed Brian’s presence, and despite her fatigue, a sense of dread washed over her. She knew Brian never wanted children. After countless pleas—and suffering—he had finally agreed, but something still felt terribly wrong. The weight of exhaustion soon overtook her, and she fell asleep.

Brian gave the doctor a brief greeting, but his attention was fixed entirely on the baby boy in the doctor’s arms. He took the child, feeling a strange thrill at the thought that this boy might carry on his path and fulfill his ambitions.

The baby suddenly began to cry. Curious, Brian leaned in closer as the child slowly opened his eyes. The left eye was a deep, chocolate-brown—just like his mother’s, and his own. But the right eye was jade green, faintly glowing with an unnatural glint.

At that moment, only one thought crossed Brian’s mind.

Disgust.
