School love dose

Chapter 1: first glances

It was the first hour at school. The hallway was being trampled by dozens of kids as they hurried toward class. Eli walked nervously, his steps calculated as if he was trying to remain unnoticed. He blushed slightly as his heart rate increased.  

The hallway felt like a maze and Eli forced himself to smile as he advanced toward his locker but only to freeze as he blinked repeatedly. Near his locker, a large shadow stretched across the ground, it looked oppressive and intimidating. 

He looked up only to see what he feared but not the reasons most would think. By the lockers, a tall frame leaned on them with his back. He was 7 feet tall, Mexican and with a relaxed and thoughtful look. Eli swallowed the lump in his throat as his heart began to beat faster. "Oh no, it's Hector" Eli thought as he stepped back, trying to remain unnoticed. Hector yawned and kept his composure which might have hinted that he didn't notice him. 

Eli turned around and walked away but at the last second he could feel Hector looking at him as he left. The bell rang as every kid picked a seat in class. Hours passed as the interval came by.

Eli grabbed his notebook and pen as he sat under a tree and began writing down whatever happened in the last hours . "Today I met Hector by the lockers" he wrote as the pen struggled under his trembling hand. But that was when he could feel a tiny creature walking on his shoulder. 

It looked like a woman but she was the size of a scorpion . Eli immediately recognized her as his guide. She was a falcon warrior woman. She let out a screech as she climbed to Eli's ear and whispered "mission, mission now" Eli sighed as he responded with "okay".

Eli quickly hid her from the other kids as time passed and the interval was over. As he walked back inside, Hector appeared in front of him and stopped for a second and actually glanced at him and looked as if he was about to laugh but he walked away.

As the school day ended, Eli walked towards home while the falcon warrior woman sat on his shoulder. That's when he spotted the location of his mission: a side walk.

He spotted a woman crouched over as she plucked her purse from the ground while a man approached her. Eli's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, readying his magic attack. The man quickly snatched the purse out of the woman's hands as he tried to run but Eli's magic blast hit him first, knocking him off balance. 

The falcon warrior woman cheered and Eli asked "is the mission complete?" "Yes" the falcon warrior woman said. Eli's shoulders relaxed as he walked toward home. But he still couldn't help thinking about Hector....
