I turned to my new bio partner, making a face at Vee over his shoulder. She didn't see it. So I made a silly face that anyone else could've seen and thought, Wow, she's weird. They wouldn't be wrong.
My new bio partner was writing something down on his paper and not looking at me. Maybe he likes doodling. Or just writing squiggly lines. Does that count as doodling? I guess, but if he was writing it like a sentence, it could just be--no, that's doodling.
I glanced over at the paper, really slyly because I'm just like that, and there are actual words. And, since I'm really sly and cool, I do my best to make out some words, despite his handwriting being hella messy. Right when I started to see something that may be from the alphabet English users use--ain't nobody got time to look up what it's called--he folded the paper in half so I couldn't see.
Eh. I can admit that I'm not actually that sly and cool.
"What are you even writing, dude?" I asked.
"And she speaks English," he replied. So he doesn't talk first. That explains why he has no friends.
"Um. Yeah. You gonna say what you're writing?"
Suddenly, he grabbed my paper and threw it into the trash can.
What the fuck?
"Dude. What the hell was that," I said in kind of disbelief. What is this kid on?
"Call me Patch. I mean it. Call me."
"Patch, hon, if that is your flirting game, I see why I've never heard you talk before."
