Anitas pov

I woke up that morning to the sound of my brother and my dad fighting in the kitchen.

As i got myself out of bed, i made my way down the corridor to the sounds of my mothers laughter.

"It is so early, do ..do you have to be so loud?" I ask, yawning

"Well ...i was never told about the time change the universe has made ....have you ?" My father asks my mother
"No ... no, i haven't," she says, stiffiling a laugh

"Huh,"

"Since when has 2 in the afternoon ever been considered early in the morning....must have missed the memo?"
My dad says, shrugging his shoulders as my mother and brother laugh.

"2?" I ask, confused

"Yes, sleeping beauty, you have been a sleep and with no prince to wake you up . What could we do?" my mother says with a giggle

"Whats for breakfast , this princess asks," i say, holding my head up

"Eggs and bacon, your majesty," my brother bows

We all break into a fit of laughter .

"So what are your plans for today." My dad asks

"School and a date " i shrug

"Still can not believe someone likes you ...well, i mean shrek found fiona so ...."
My brother laughs dodging my hits

"You better be careful with that kid , he seems like trouble ."

"Dad , Denise is not some shady guy i met around a dark alley , we grew up together,"

"Still..."

"It will be fine,"

"Let's go , get dressed, sis ."

"Yes, yes," i say as i stuff my face and make my way to get dressed.

On the ride to school, i sit in annoyance as my brother sings his heart out .
"Do you have to do this every morning?"
I say, turning down the volume

"Yes , im the one with a license, and I'm older."

"By 2 minutes," i state annoyed

"2 minutes that gave me my glory "
He says smuggly

As we pull into the school, i spot my friend group and find my way toward them

"Morning," my friend Erika says, embracing me in a tight hug.

"Morning....cant breathe."

"Sorry."

"Morning, Anna," Delancey says, smiling at Erika's behavior

"Morning," Ava , Maverick , Chanel, and Tracy greet .

"Morning guys , what are you talking about ?"

" You,"

" What do you mean?" I ask, confused

"Just you know how you're taking the news," Tracy says

"Yeah , we were worried that leaving you this summer in this condition....well," Chanel says with remorse in her eyes

"How are you doing?" Maverick asks," Hold my hand

"Im fine ....really."

"You sure?" Ava looks at me with this look i can describe.

I nod and smile , they share a look, and we make our way into the school ,

"ANITA," i hear my name being yelled .
