I grew up on a farm in what felt like middle-of-no-where Georgia, with my mom, dad, and younger brother. We raised cattle and chickens and grew just about every fruit and vegetable that was compatible with the climate. A real self sustaining bunch. My mom taught the fourth grade and my dad was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, though he has long since retired. I graduated high school near the top of my class, and received acceptances to tons of top institutions, but it wasn't the path for me, not right then anyway.

I joined S.H.I.E.L.D. fresh out of high school with the promise of a fully funded college education to an institution of my choice. I was practically a baby when I joined, so naive to the troubles of the world and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s place in them. I attended the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy of Communications, where I focused on Public Relations and an online university where I studied genetics. Though the two were incredibly unrelated, I found them interesting and very worthwhile. I finished my time in the academy in 2013 and took a position at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in New York. where I organized press conferences and met with some mid ranking government officials to ease their minds when something more "questionable" events occurred.

Unfortunately, my time was cut short when HYDRA exposed their presence within S.H.I.E.L.D., but lucky for me, I was back home for my brother's wedding when it all went down, but unfortunately, I had nowhere to run and no one to call. All bases had been compromised and I didn't know where anyone's loyalties lied. So, I moved back home with my parents and I went dark. I was left questioning if my colleagues, my friends, if those relationships I built were real. I wondered if, because of my association with S.H.I.E.L.D. (and thus HYDRA), if I was still one of the "good guys."

I quickly realized I had uncomfortable amounts of time on my hands, so I put my knowledge of genetics to good use. I started researching a way to recreate the super soldier serum, but in a less aggressive manner. It took about a year for me to complete. It worked similarly to a stem cell or bone marrow transplant, only instead of replacing damaged cells with new, healthy ones it replaced my ordinary cells with ones with enhanced capabilities. I took a risk injecting it into myself, but I'm glad I did, it worked...with some special side effects. Sure, I got the accelerated healing, superstrength, speed, agility, blah blah blah, all that's boring. The side effects were the fun part, my metabolism increased, I grew a couple inches, and got telekinesis. I didn't realize at first but when I woke up from a nightmare with my blanket floating off of me, it seemed to be the only logical explanation. I scattered my plans soon after and injected myself with the remaining doses. HYDRA would likely have done anything in their power to get a hold of it, and I wasn't going to let them.

It wasn't long after that I was contacted on an old burner phone. A woman by the name of Daisy Johnson, who said she was with S.H.I.E.L.D., wanted my help. I agreed to meet with her in a public location, and asked her to bring any other members of her team that she could. We agreed on a coffee shop about 4 hours from my parents' house, just in case they weren't friendly. Turned out, they were, and S.H.I.E.L.D. had kept some major secrets. Phil Coulson was alive and breathing. There were more than a few super secret S.H.I.E.L.D. bases. And even though the damage of HYDRA's presence ran deep, it was not something that couldn't be fixed.

From there, the rest was history. I joined the team, discovered mutants and their own secret society, witnessed people travel through space and time against their will, and fought aliens of all sorts. S.H.I.E.L.D., grew into something much bigger and incredibly different from how I had known it to be.
