I wanted to briefly introduce the main characters. Theoretically, you could skip this part, but then some context would be missing. However you decide, enjoy reading!
Germany: He is a boy, about 17 years old, and has been mute since birth. He is very focused on grades and prefers to keep to himself, which is why he doesn't have many friends, and the friends he does have were more or less chosen by his grandfather. He comes from a very wealthy family and has been raised by his grandfather since his father passed away.
Russia: He is 16 and neither particularly smart nor gifted. He mostly spends his time going out to clubs with his friends or lying hungover in his room. His father forced him to participate in a program that was supposed to help him get into a good school, and to everyone's surprise, he received a scholarship to an elite school.
Czech Republic: Czech Republic is 15 and has been Russia's best friend from the beginning. Even though he is relatively young, he is very smart and has skipped several grades. He had participated in the same program as Russia, but unlike Russia, he hadn't gotten into the school through sheer luck, but through his abilities. He is relatively easygoing but doesn't hesitate to get into a fight.
China: She is a 17-year-old girl. Just like Russia and the Czech Republic, she had received a scholarship. She comes from a rather poor area and often puts pressure on herself to impress her parents. She isn't really in the mood to make friends and prefers to concentrate on school, but finds the presence of the Czech Republic and especially Russia quite pleasant.
America: He is 18, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and quite arrogant, yet he is the most popular student at school. He has known Germany for years, as his parents and Germany's grandfather are more or less good friends. The two have been together for about two years now, and he loves to present himself as the perfect couple.
EU: EU will play an important role in the course of the story. Although strict, he is considerate of every student. He primarily wants to challenge the students who have received scholarships, which is why he's perceived as particularly mean by them. He doesn't exactly enhance his reputation by dragging students to the headmaster for every little thing, just to have an excuse to see him. He's also the trusted teacher, even though almost no one ever comes to him unless things are really bad.
UN: As headmaster, UN has a great deal of responsibility and is constantly bogged down in paperwork, which is why the students rarely see him. If you do happen to speak to him, he's the complete opposite of EU and is a kind of father figure to many.
