Buck keeps getting TikToks of people proposing in various locations. They always make him tear up, a happiness for strangers he doesn't know and will likely never meet. But they look happy, as if no one else at any of the locations matter and he wishes for a moment that he could have that.

Long enough in his head that he shakes it off and has to move on from it so he doesn't think about every failed relationship he's been in. Because really that's the last thing he needs to do, it's not good for him to think that way.

He has everything he could want besides a relationship. And he doesn't need it per se. It's just been one of his dreams to have a family for his entire life.

Normal stuff.

But the TikTok's don't go away and they turn into him focusing more on where they're located and thinking about what he might like. Because there's a possibility that he could get proposed too and the mere thought of it sends shivers up his spine, and sends his cheeks into a pink color.

It's a nice thought, being proposed too.

Though he's noticed another wonderful possibility of a public space in this type of situation. Like in the most recent video he's watched, the restaurant gave them a free dessert for the romantic moment.

And Bucks a weak weak man. He fucking loves dessert.

So obviously he goes to Eddie about it.

Though in hindsight he could've gone about it in a better way but he's just excited. But the look on Eddie's face will stay with him forever.

Buck walks into Eddie's house like he always does, especially since they're living together right now. And it makes his stomach roll every time he thinks about it because yeah he has feelings for his best friend but it's fine.

Once he realized it it felt like something settled in his chest, and all of his feelings over the years they've known one another finally made sense in his head. And it's a comfortable feeling, one that he knows he can live with because Eddie is here, with Chris. And Bobby is alive and doing well and it's all back to normal.

Even if every time he walks into their house and sees Eddie sitting on the couch, Buck wants to walk over to him and sit right in his lap and kiss him until they're both out of breath— then maybe Eddie will—

No.

But it doesn't help that's where Eddie is right now. Leaning back on the sofa while some show in Spanish plays on the screen. He's got a water bottle in his hands and his legs are spread ever so slightly.

Yeah he's got a problem. And really it's likely the reason he just blurts the next words out before Eddie even has a chance to fully say hello to him.

"He—" the man starts, but Buck sits down next to him so quickly the man jumps a little, even if they always sit this close.

"I need you to propose to me." Buck exhales, giddy with his words as Eddie chokes next to him. His eyes widening and the water in his hand falling to the floor. Which frankly, Buck thinks is a little dramatic.

"What?" Eddie exclaims and yeah, Buck can see where he's coming from, so he pulls out his phone and pulls up his TikTok to show Eddie the videos he's liked.

"Look," Buck puts his phone in Eddie's face, "I've been seeing these proposal videos and people are getting free desserts, Ed's, I want to test it out."

Eddie watches the video all of the way through before saying anything and then he's looking at Buck, "And you're asking me?" The man questions and Buck sighs.
