Taehyung wakes up early in the morning as soft sunlight slips through the curtains, painting the room in warm gold. The air feels calm and quiet, like the day is holding its breath. He lies there for a moment, eyes half-open, letting the light wake him gently. Today isn't just any day-he has a shoot, and he looks beside him there was no one as usual with that thought he slowly pulls him out of bed,
Taehyung misses his husband in the quietest ways. Every morning, he wakes up to an empty side of the bed, the space beside him always cold, always untouched. Eight months of marriage, yet no warmth, no stolen glances, no lingering touches-just distance that never seems to close.
He tries, again and again. Waiting up late with dinner untouched, ironing Jungkook's clothes with careful hands, hoping these small acts might speak where words fail. But Jungkook comes home past midnight, tired and distant. Taehyung wakes at the sound of the door, eyes soft with hope, only to hear, "I already ate," before Jungkook walks past him without a second glance.
Even the clothes Taehyung prepares go unworn, replaced by something else, as if his efforts were invisible. And slowly, what hurts the most isn't the loneliness-it's realizing that no matter how much love he pours into this marriage, it never seems to reach Jungkook at all.
Taehyung gets ready quietly, smooths his clothes, and heads downstairs with his bag, his mind already on the runway waiting for him later today. The dining room feels warm, sunlight spilling across the table where his father-in-law sits, handsome and composed-so much so that it always reminds Taehyung how Jungkook is truly his mirror image.
He smiles gently. "Good morning, dad," Taehyung says, taking his seat.
"Where's the shoot today?" his father-in-law asks.
"At the company," Taehyung replies lovingly. "And in the evening, at 6, I have a fashion show to walk." He hesitates for a second before adding softly, "I wanted to invite Jungkook, but he's busy as usual. I was wondering if you and mom could attend."
Just then, his mother-in-law walks in, apologetic. She explains about her best friend's birthday party and smiles warmly at Taehyung. "I can't make it, dear-but if you want, take dad with you."
His father-in-law nods, turning to Taehyung with a fond look. "Yeah, I'll attend. Just share the location with my driver-I'll be there on time," he says, winking playfully.
Taehyung smiles, lowering his head shyly. "Okay, dad... thank you."
