"Hey Jack! Hurry up! You got about 10 minutes!" Theresa, Jack's mom, yelled from downstairs.

Jack couldn't hear her through his headphones, which blasted music to his ears. He scrolled through the internet, trying to find anything on conspiracies he was hooked in. Instead, all he found were stupid prank videos.

Jack switched gears and moved over to a conspiracy website, filled with a bunch of articles about certain topics. However, all Jack found was news in the world.

Robot and tech advancements in China, the largest diamond ore deposit found in a forest in the East African Federation, and corrupt governments the America's. Jack always loved watching through stuff like that, since he grew during wartime.

Theresa put a hand on Jacks shoulder and took off his headphones. He was startled and screamed slightly. "Hurry up, lets go!" Jack immediately got up and shut down his computer.

Jack rushed to get his bag ready, putting his schoolwork and his music sheets in, since he practiced last night, getting dressed and brushing his teeth all at once. He seemed practically superhuman just by his sheer speed at getting ready. Some of his toothpaste spilled on his shirt and he had to change it.

He grabbed a different shirt and went to rinse out his mouth in the bathroom, then washed his face and put in his contacts. While he was doing all of this, he also managed to make an even bigger mess throughout the bathroom. He scoffed and decided to wipe it all up with his already dirty shirt. Once he was finished in the bathroom, he went back into his room.

He managed to get everything ready in time somehow and grabbed his bag and trumpet. He school work was a mess in his bag, and nothing was organized. Jack Spencer, he thought, a 16 year-old boy who can barely keep his head together.

Jack shrugged it off and headed downstairs to eat a small breakfast, where his mom was waiting for him, packing her bag for work as well. She had her doctor's outfit on, her bright red hair loose on her shoulders and very little to no makeup on, since she wouldn't have a purpose for it. She looked at Jack and smiled. She handed Jack his plate of pancakes, sausages and grits.

"What time are you going to be home today? I gotta work a late shift." She continued packing her bag and grabbed her stethoscope. Jack ate his pancakes, and shrugged, then pulled out his phone. "I don't know, it's an away game so it might be a little after one, or even two."

Theresa chuckled and then grabbed two cans of Red Bulls, and a water. Jack texted his friends, Pierre and Kimara, asking them if their parents can give him a ride home. They were both siblings so he only texted Pierre.

"When's y'all's first home game?" Theresa asked. She tied her hair in a ponytail, and washed her hands. Jack finished his breakfast and washed his plate. "About 3 more games then it's a home game, second of October."

They both got their things and cleaned up the kitchen a little bit, then Theresa grabbed her keys and locked their house door behind them. She warmed her hands since it was beginning to get cold in September.

They headed outside and got in their car. "Alright, I'll try to be there, but do you think you can find a ride home tonight? I don't know if I can pick you up." Jack zipped up his bag and put it between his legs, putting on his seatbelt. "I can ask my friends, but I don't know if they'll be able to."

Theresa put the keys in the car and it turned on, she put the gear shift in reverse and began backing out of their driveway. Once they were fully out of the driveway, she switched it to drive and they began driving to Jack's school first.

They drove past a lot of things, including their small neighborhood, and went out onto the big road. Jack looked out the window to see all sorts of things, including homeless people, junkies, public fights, and cops just sitting by and drinking. To people 20 years ago, it would've been a nightmare. To people now, it was just an average day in Rambridge, Georgia
