Blue. The ground is blue, the sky is blue, even most of the little creatures living here with us are blue. For as long as anyone can remember, our world has been blue. There are even scientific theories that we, the people, started out as blue creatures and evolved into the Maya blue people we are today. It's interesting to read all of the scientific research that was done to come to the conclusion that we started off a darker blue. Some of them say we were a darker blue because we arose from the planets core, while others state that it was to be an evolutionary advantage that would have helped us blend in with our surroundings better and hide from any predator larger than us. My parents are Mayan blue, as are everyone else, but for some reason I didn't get their genes. No, I was born a powder blue which makes me appear gray. My siblings, Jacobite and Artreobite, constantly make jokes that I must have been picked up somewhere because I appeared so different from them. My parents, of course, deny these jokes, but even I have started to notice just how different I am.
