The air was cold against his bare skin, causing him to dig his nose deeper into his thick and cosy scarf. No matter how cold, Jisung loved the winter, when everything was covered in white snow, glistening in the sun like diamonds. The snow on the ground cracking with every step. Everything felt a little less hectic, a little calmer, more at peace.

Beautiful fairy-lights around each corner, creating a festive glow only Christmas time managed to pull off.

With an excited giggle, Jisung grabbed Minhos hand and pulled him closer, guiding them through the crowd to his desired destination. On every other occasion he would enjoy a slow stroll through the Christmas market, admiring the lights, looking at the crafts people sell and taking in the smell of delicious food. But that had to wait for later. He managed to convince Minho to go ice-skating with him and he wouldn't leave it to chance, that his boyfriend would change his mind again. Every minute counted.

"Jagi, there is no reason to rush, the rink will still be there for the rest of the day, a couple weeks actually... it won't run away, you know?", Minho giggled beside him.

With squinted eyes he turned towards him, "I am not worried for the rink to disappear, but for you to make a run for it! I worked too hard to convince you". Suddenly Minho stopped and with a little more force than necessary pulled Jisung closer to him, so that Jisung almost flew against his chest. "Would never dare to run away from you", he purred into Jisungs ears, causing a warm shiver to run down his spine. Looking deep into Jisungs eyes he added, "You know that, right?".

It's been over half a year and his man still managed to make his heart skip a beat. He allowed himself a few seconds to just stare into the others eyes, taking in the love he could see in them. With a heavy sigh, he replied, "Yes, I know...". Then, very abruptly, he turned around again and continued his path towards the ice rink.

Ready for catastrophe they carefully stepped onto the ice, holding on tight to the railing.

"This was a bad idea", Minho concluded even before stepping on the ice with both his feet.

"No, give it a chance! This will be fun", Jisung exclaimed, while facing the railing, holding on with both hands. He just needed to get used to the feeling, as a kid he'd been skating all the time. Looking up from his skates, he turned to check how Minho was doing and couldn't help but burst out laughing. He was aware that he looked just as stupid, but with the helmet on Minhos head tilted sideways, his knees bend more than necessary and the fear in his eyes, he simply looked adorably ridiculous. His otherwise tough and fit boyfriend, looked tiny right now. Apparently there was a reason he didn't want to go ice skating.

Pressed against the railing, Minho shoot him a deadly glance.

With the biggest smile on his face, Jisung let go of the barricade with one hand and tried moving forward a little, surprised that his body seemingly still remembered the movement from when he was a kid. A proud grin plastered on his face he turned his head around to Minho, only to see him still at the entrance, holding on tight, not moving an inch. Kids skating past him, laughing at the scaredy-cat adult.

Though knowing fully well that he would have laughed at Minho as well if he were a kid, actually even laughing at him right this moment, he shoot those kids a warning glare and made his way back to his boyfriend.

Seemingly nonchalant, Minho had turned his back to the barricade and leaned against it with crossed arms. "You know what, why don't you just... go ahead... I'll... warm up a little first", he said while stretching his arms over his head.

"Warm up?", Jisung giggled, "By standing around on ice?".

"Stretching!".

"Stretching", echoed Jisung with a wide grin.
