NO ONES POV:
The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, making a warm glow across the cozy bedroom. A quiet hum of the birds singing outside..
Tim stirred first.
His Eyes still closed, he reached out finding Lucy's hand under the covers and giving it a gentle squeeze. T: Mmm... morning. he mumbled, his voice still sounding sleepy..
Lucy groaned softly, burying her face deeper into the pillow. L:already?? she muttered, her voice muffled clearly still tired.. L:tell the sun to leave.
Tim chuckled, turning toward her and pressing a lazy kiss on her cheek. T: I wish I could. But then we'd never get pancakes. He smiles.
That earned a slight smile from Lucy, who peeked one eye open at him. L:Pancakes, huh? Are you trying to bribe me to get up? She laughed slightly..
T:oh yes I am.. he smiled. T:we can even make coffee. Lucy laughed slightly. L:alright fine I'm up.. she said standing up. Tim stood up as well.
NO ONES POV: later after they ate they both have to get ready for work. Tim wiped his hands on a dish towel and looked at the clock on the microwave. T:We've got... twenty-seven minutes until we absolutely have to leave. L:well who is gonna shower first? T:you go first you take the longest. He teased. L:no I don't! But fine..
*AFTER THEY BOTH FINISHED SHOWERING AND GETTING READY FOR WORK! NOW THEY ARE IN THE CAR.(TIM IS DRIVING)*
NO ONES POV: Traffic was already thick, brake lights blinking like red fireflies in the morning.Tim tapped his fingers on the steering wheel while Lucy scrolled through emails on her phone.
They fell into a comfortable silence for a few minutes. The city slowly came to life around them — shop signs lighting up, joggers passing by, buses coughing along the curb. Then Lucy spoke..
L:Tim.. T:hmm? He said still looking at the road. L:have.. have you ever thought about having kids? She said gently. The question hung in the air, heavier than the morning fog. Tim blinked, then glanced at her quickly before turning back to the road.
T: kids? Like eventually or now? Lucy chuckled nervously. L:Not now-now. But... sometime. I saw that little boy just now, and it just hit me. I started wondering what our lives would look like... you know, if we had a kid..T: Ive thought of it too.. but we are so busy with work .. and stuff.. L:yeah..
*TIME SKIP: AFTER WORK THEY FINALLY ARRIVED HOME*
TIMS POV: ever since Lucy asked me about kids it's still stuck in my head.. i imagine our kitchen five years from now — cereal spilled on the counter, little feet running across the hardwood, Lucy chasing a toddler with one sock. I imagine tiny hands reaching up for me , big curious eyes, sleepy giggles in the middle of the night.
Yeah, it terrified me a little. Would I make a good dad? What if I end up just like my father? And me and Lucy aren't even married yet.. but I do plan on doing it.. I have the ring.. I just have to plan on how and where and when to do it! Gosh..
