*Pete's POV*
"Come in!" I say softly, quickly finishing my sentence for my English paper before turning to greet my new roommate.
My old roommate graduated last year and I'm excited to meet a new person. They told me I was getting a new roommate a few days ago, but it was cautioned. They told me he is coming to be saved, that he has done a lot of bad things in his life. They say I have to keep him in line, lead him down the right road.
I can't help but look surprised with the boy walks though the door. He's tall and skinny, considering he's a year younger than me. He is wearing black skinny jeans and a black leather jacket. His rough brown eyes are rimmed and smudged with charcoal eyeliner, contrasting his ridiculously pale skin. His light brown hair is a mess, like it hasn't been combed in days. He wears a tough expression. His overall person was something I've never seen before, sure a lot of new kids come in all the time in street clothes, but this?
"Pete this is Mikey, your new roommate" Rodger says and I pull my smile back up.
"Hi!" I reach out my hand but he shakes his head, probably because his long, skinny fingers are wrapped loosely around a suitcase.
Rodger says goodbye and closes the door behind him.
"You...ah...can...um...set your stuff by your bed..."I stumble over my words. He can smell fear, I can tell by the way he smirks with half of his mouth.
"Why are you afraid?" he asks, voice rough and cocky, as he sets down his stuff, sits on the bed and stares me down.
"I-Im not" my voice wavers.
He knows I'm lying. He laughs and shakes his head. "I'm sure you're not." he pauses and his voices gets deeper "I mean, if I were you I would be. Excpecially since I'm guessing they told you why I'm here against my will"
"They haven't." I say, unable to tear away from his intimidating eyes. "But, may I ask why?"
His eyes narrow "The better question is what I haven't done. I haven't worn a colour besides black since middle school. But what I have done? Hell, that's a long list."
I look at him in astonishment. Who is this guy?
"but," he continues "what landed me in...here...was that I killed a bitch" his words sharp
I gasp. Murdered? I now wish they had told me that before I agreed. Then again, Jesus does things no one understands, so I'll just go with it, make the best out of the situation.
He chuckles and lays back in his bed. "But hey, I got one hot roomies" he adds.
I blush. No. It's wrong to be gay. Jesus has a plan for me. Marry a lovely woman, in a lovely house with lovely kids. Being gay is a sin. I have dated girls over the summer but I don't think I ever found the right ones, I never felt much of anything for them.
"Would you like a tour?" considering it is only one in the afternoon on a Saturday.
He shakes his head and unwraps his head phones from his iPod and sticks them in his ears. As I go back to work I hear heavy rock music faintly through his headphones
Dear god, give me the strength to help this boy.
At five o'clock I finish editing my paper and realise dinner is soon. I look over to see the kid scribbling in a notebook.
"Mikey?" I call to him but he can't hear me through his music.
I sigh, stand up and walk over to him.
He looks up at me, winks and smirks all before pulling out his headphones. "What's up princess?"
"Don't call me princess" I say. "and dinner is soon. You Uh, have to change so we can go down"
Mikey snorts. "Yeah. Pass."
"You can't pass on dinner!" I look at him with disbelief
"I just did" he smirks annoyingly out of the side of his mouth and this is seriously not what I signed up for.
"Come on. Let's just go" I tried
"Fine,on one condition"
"What?" I sigh exaughsted.
"You kiss me" he says smoothly
I gasp. The audacity of this guy! Doesn't he know Being gay is a sin? "No"
"Why?"
"Because I'm straight and that's a sin"
"The Bible says you can't lay with another man but I'm totally up for fucking you against the wall"
"Will you just get changed so we don't miss dinner?"
"Are you gonna kiss me?"
"No!"
"Well there's your answer" he says turning back to his notebook
I chew on my lip, the pastors know he came today, they'll be looking for him at dinner and if he's not there that comes down on me.
"Can you please just..." I groaned
"Same to you babe" Mikey winks at me.
I shake my head and leave him be. I'll just tell anyone who asks that he was feeling under the weather. At most they'll chalk it up to him being tired or shy.
--------
When I grt back from dinner, Mikey seems to have put on pyjamas and is curled under the covers. His long body is tucked into a lumpy looking ball and he's facing the wall.
I could hear his music again too-something I will probably have to get used to. The melody was slow, but not necessarily calming, the hard drums his added a bit of anguish and passion to the mix.
His eyes were clear of eyeliner and closed softly, eyelashes brushing his skin gently. Plump pink lips parted just slightly, little breathing noises spoken softly.
Aww cute.
Cute???? No not like cute cute. Like not like a pretty girl. Like a puppy dog, a slightly scary puppy dog but a puppy dog nonetheless.
"So, you think I'm cute?" Mikey says suddenly looking up at me, with a cocky smirk.
Oh fu- fudge. I did not say that out loud.
"Absolutely not" I defend
"Damn, you sure do lie a lot. Isn't that against your fancy book?"
Well yes. I think. Regardless, lying is wrong.
This boy will be the death of me.
----------
I'm tired, hungry and depressed 24/7.
Woot woot!
Idk man I'm too tired for a real AN.
