T.S.9. stood outside as large manor looking around at all the different colors the flowers created. The smells around her were all new and stimulated her senses. A whistle pulled her attention in the direction of the entrance. The man in black stood there and called for her. She ran to the door and followed the man inside.

They walked down a long hallway and to a open door where a woman with red hair was waiting. T.S.9.'s instincts were put into action as she lunged for the girl. Her attacked was stopped when the man in black pulled her pack by her blood stained dress.

"Mey-Rin," the man said addressing the woman with the red hair. "Please help her into a some clean clothes. I will be right outside if she gets too hard to handle."

The woman nodded and motioned for T.S.9. to come closer. T.S.9. hesitated but went forward cautiously. She stood in front of Mey-Rin and allowed her curiosity to take the better of her. She reached for the buttons on the redhead's uniform and tugged. The way the metal caught the light intrigued her.

When T.S.9. tugged too hard Mey-Rin swatted at the tugging hand. In response T.S.9. hissed up at her and continued to tug at the button.

Startled, the redhead looked up at the man in black for help. He sighed and snapped his finger, drawing the attention of T.S.9. The strange girl released the button and narrowed her eyes at the man. With another sigh he removed something from his pocket. He handed his silver pocket watch to T.S.9. and her eyes widened. The watch was snatched from the man's hands and pulled close to her chest.

As T.S.9. played with the shiny object, Mey-Rin began to change her from the bloody dress and into a uniform. She received little disagreements from the strange girl but when she did it was in the form of a hiss.

When T.S.9. was dressed, Mey-Rin called for the man in black using the name Sebastian. The man came in and told T.S.9. to follow him. She followed him out of the room and down the hall, occasionally being told to follow when she got distracted.

They soon arrived at a door. The man beckoned the girl in and she followed his order. As soon a she stepped inside her eyes landed on the boy behind the desk. His intimidating stare caused her to lunge at him. Her hand almost reached his neck but the pull of the man in black stopped her. She hissed at the boy and swatted at him with her hands.

Eventually she stopped knowing she wasn't going to get the boy with the man in the room. Her eyes remained pinned to him.

"So she is some kind of panther, human hybrid?" the boy asked the man in black and earned a nod. The boy looked to the girl and brought his hand up to his chin as if thinking. "We will call her Bree."

As soon as she boy said her name the glare she had been holding on him disappeared. Her head lifted slightly and tilted it in curiosity. The boy repeated the name and she responded again by tilting her head in the other direction.

- Two months later-

Bree stood over a mess of shattered dishes. Her head was low and her eyes to the ground as Sebastian scolded her. Yelling and isolation seemed to be the only thing to affect her as she was incapable of feeling pain.

"Clean it up and return to your room. We are having guests and it would be unacceptable to have you attacking people." He said with a sigh as he turned and left her alone.

The panther girl bent over and began to pick up the larger shards of broken china. As she cleaned a cut on her hand caused by the sharp china went unnoticed as it didn't cause pain. The blood dripping from her hand caused her eye to twitch and her lips to curl into a smirk. The smell filled her senses and she took the opportunity to jump the next person to walk through the door.

Unluckily for her it was Sebastian. She lunged at him with a shard she had picked off the ground, her hand cutting even more. Sebastian dodged quickly and slammed her to the ground. Something snapped and Sebastian frowned. He released Bree as soon as she was calm and helped her stand.

Blood now dripped down Bree's entire arm and its shape was unnatural. She stood there unaware of the bone protruding from her upper arm and the blood pooling on the ground. Sebastian sighed and forced her to sit on a bench. He retrieved the bandages from the cupboard and sat on a stool next to her.

A snap sounded as the bone was put back in place. A bandage wrapped around her arm tightly in several layers. She watched carefully as he began to wrap a bandage around her cut up hand.

When that was done she looked up from the bandage and into Sebastian's eyes. She smiled, copying what Mey-Rin did when she thanked Bree. Copying all except the words.

"Now go to your room. I will clean up this mess," Sebastian said looking down at the shattered china and the puddle of blood. "And change your uniform as well."

Bree looked down at the white apron of her uniform to find it stained in blood. She stood and made her way out of the room.

-Six Months Later-

The room was full of chatting as Bree handed Ciel a cup from her tray. A clanging of pool balls was accompanied by the cheers of accomplishment and deep laughter. She looked to the noise and at the few people gathered in the room. It took a lot from her to keep from lunging at them but the punishment she received last time kept her from attacking.

Red eyes watched her cautiously. This was a test and she knew it. She had to remain calm.

"You may go now," were the words that brought her relief. The tension growing inside her was going to burst soon and leaving the room brought the boil to a simmer. She made her way to the kitchen where she placed her tray on the counter.

As she walked to the door, Bard entered. He smiled at Bree and ruffled her hair. "Good job Kid," He said with a smile. She smiled back and nodded.

This place was much different than what she could remember of where she came from. The people were nice and cold chains did not bind her to her room. She went outside often even if it was currently cold and the colors she enjoyed were hidden.

She smiled to herself as she left the room. The concept of all these emotions amazed her and her favorite was the one she felt when she smiled.
