The Knock at the Door

"I got lost,"

"And why are you here,"

"Cuz that's where my un-,"

"My friend tells me to go,"

"What friend tells you to go to my house,"

"His name is Un- I Mean Mr. Reggie, hesh a breedeer he knows my mommy,"

Paul nodded his head before choking on his coffee, Reggie was his brother why would he tell a kid to come here.

"Who is your mom,"

"Ermh, ehh, I'm bad with names,"

"whats your last name,"

"Oh its uh, I forgot," Kia lifted his hands up

"Your bad with names huh,"

The small boy nodded before pulling the hood of his jacket over his arms and looking at Paul, before shivering.

'There is a blanket on the couch-," before he could finish Kai was pilled up on the couch with the blanket laying down, Paul noticed he had already taken his shoes off and left them where he had be sitting.

"I'm going to call Reggie,"

"Erh Hum, Can I twalk to him,"

"Why,"

"Cuz hes my friend,"

Paul called Reggie and waited for his face to show on phone screen while Kia stood beside him wrapped up In the blanket. on the third Ring Reggie popped up in a smile as always

"Hey little brother hows it going, still enjoying the champion life,"

"Why the hell would you tell a kid to come to my house,"

"Huh,"

Paul sighed, before rubbing his nose, Kia mocking him below

"bubba does that...," Kia thought

"Who," Reggie asked

"Kid what was your name again." Paul asked looking down at the small boy

'Its KIA, and you said I was bad at names,"

"KIA," Reggie said a sternness in his voice getting Paul's attention as he glanced at the boy who lifted the blanket up over his ears

"Paul let me talk to the kid,"

"Paul handed Kia the phone and lifted him up onto the stool in front of him before stepping back. however Kia just looked at him before making a face

"What,"

"You gonnwa weave us awone,"

Paul was taken back, this was his house, his phone but he had to leave,

"Kia are you thirsty,' Reggie asked the boy

"Ywes,"

"Guess ill see what I have to drink,"Paul said leaving the room

Kia smiled at the man on the screen, but he want met with one.

"What are you doing,' Reggie hissed

"I jwust wanted to swee him,"

"Kia this is a bad idea, what does your mother think of this,"

"She no know,"

"I told her I was gonna go to Your house and just took a different train,"
