"Are you sure that they ordered us to build three engines? Talyllyn and Skarloey are the only ones we got names for." A builder said, while starting to construct the third and final Fletcher, Jennings & Co Class C 0-4-0ST. "Yes, it says it right here!" His boss said as he pointed to the number. It actually said 2, but the boss misread it as 3. "That looks more like-" the boss cut him off "Get to work." The workmen reluctantly agreed and got to work. The three engines were soon complete. Talyllyn, Skarloey, and the third one. "Wait a minute..." the boss slowly reread the paper. "This says... two!" The workman from earlier groaned. They had built an engine that wasn't meant to exist! She wasn't given a chance to move.

The auctioner said numbered quickly. "£495!" People raised their hands. The tiny engine was scared, it was loud and many people were there. "£515!" "When is he gonna stop?" The little engine wondered. "£525! Going once! Going twice! £525! Sold! The Sodor Aluminum Works!" "Sold!?" The little engine had no idea what was going to happen now.
Her life on Sodor was great! She was a good shunter, got named Amy, and she was friends with later engines like Freddie and Manning. But all good times must come to an end, and one day in 1908, the auction happened again.
January 20th, 1908
Amy hoped to be sold with Freddie and Manning, but alas, nobody wanted the tiny 0-4-0. She was sold for the cheap price of £400, but not to the Ulfstead Railway. "Sold! The Western & Mainline Railway!"

She was taken to a station and had her final goodbye to Freddie and Manning. She was taken down a scenic branchline and already missed Freddie and Manning. "Tomorrow you'll be loaded onto a ship!" The blue tank engine said, reversing next to Amy. "Ey Charlie! Quit talking to the loads and get back to work!" Another blue tank engine shouted, in the funniest voice ever. "I already miss Freddie and Manning..." Amy said to Charlie. Charlie smiled warmly to comfort her, replying "Don't worry, I'm sure wherever you're going you'll be really useful!" This cheered Amy up a bit. The people got her onto the ship, and before the door was closed, she shouted "Best of luck Charlie!" She could hear Charlie shout back "Best of luck to you to! Uh!" Amy quickly shouted back "Amy! My name's Amy!" Right before the door fully shut, she heard Charlie shout one final time, "Best of tracks, Amy!" The door shut. Amy could hear the funny-voice engine yelling at Charlie, and the last thing Amy heard of Charlie was "Come on Billy, she is going across the ocean!".

The boat trip was uneventful, just Amy staring at the dark, thinking of Billy, Charlie, Freddie, and Manning. She'd never see them again, ever. She would've liked to know the tiny blue tank engines more, but she was happy to know their names. She could hear the rough ocean current, beating at the ship. The boaters shouted above deck.

She hadn't realized yet, but a little breakvan was next to her. "To the Western & Mainline?" Amy was surprised, but she grinned in the darkness. "Yes! Do you know anything about it?" The breakvan paused "No, other than the fact it's in America and narrow gauge, heh." Amy knew what to ask. "Hey, my name's Amy, what about you?" The brakevan sighed. "I don't got one." Amy was surprised for a moment. "Well then how about we give you one?" The breakvan seemed to enjoy this idea. "Well any ideas?" Amy needed a moment. She thought for a second before speaking up. "Aha! What about Breakvan Sam?" Breakvan Sam chuckled. "Well how delightful!"
January 26th to January 31st, 1908
The breakvan and Amy chattered in the darkness of the ship. There wasn't much else to do. They learned each other's likes and dislikes. Soon the day came.
February 1st, 1908
The night before a few ship crew members came down with lanterns, the only light Amy had seen since she boarded the ship. They worked quickly, getting Amy and Breakvan Sam ready to be unloaded.
February 2nd, 1908
The day had came! "Finally!" Amy thought. Men opened up the doors and cranes lifted Amy up, and placed her onto a flatbed. Oh well, this was going to be the last time. She saw Breakvan Sam being loaded onto a flatbed behind her. The engine in front of her, leading the train, was a somewhat large engine, definitely way huger than Charlie and Billy. "Hello! My name is Fred, do you two have names?" Amy thought of Freddie. She'd never see him or Manning again. "My names Amy." Sam spoke up "Just call me Sam." The American engine responded with "What nice names. Let's get going!" He left off...
