Camila wasn't always so closed off.

The girl was raised by a Colombian mother whom carried her through what could have been life's toughest moments with a smile on her face.

Camila carried that trait with her until the day her mother died.

Her father had never been in the picture, really. Once he got her mother pregnant, he left, and Camila's poor mother was left to scratch and claw to become a citizen within the United States rather than go home. Her mother had nothing left there, and she couldn't take her daughter there, either.

Where life could have been miserable, the Buras girls found happiness in the slimmest of hopes. But, Camila was only nineteen when her mother passed unexpectedly and the girl never recovered.

Camila had been in school then, studying at university to become a doctor. She never had the means to stay there, so she found a better option: wrestling.

Of course, her pretty face got her to where she wanted to be. No company truly appreciated her talent in the ring, but through that process she developed a passion for singing that gained her publicity outside of wrestling. That was how her and Joe had met—her long-term boyfriend whom gave her a glimpse of what her life had been missing since her mother had passed.

But, he left, too. His busy NFL schedule just didn't work with her own once she hit WWE. The two grew apart and instead of trying to figure it out, Camila just went quiet.

Her mother had passed years before, but Camila never truly got over losing someone she cared about. So, when she felt Joe slipping through her fingers, she ended things before she could get hurt—or so she thought.

Camila lived by one rule: never let them see you bleed.

Her and Joe broke up a year ago, and since then she had been touring with an EP. Camila knew that staying in WWE at that time would've killed her; she couldn't keep up her persona if the crowd started chanting Joe Burrow's name.

But now, Cami Castillo was coming back. And Camila was terrified.

Camila Buras used to be so confident in herself. Now, she was trying to find her love of wrestling again, and she hated that about herself.

Camila knew how blessed she was to be in the position she was in. So, why did she feel so bleak?

The brunette turned off her BMW as she parked at the Performance Center to meet Paul. She was returning that week, and she needed to freshen up on her wrestling and also solidify her storyline moving forward.

"You can do this," she whispered to herself. Her black-painted nails tapped against her steering wheel as she stared at the busy road in front of the parking lot. Taking a deep breath, she said "fuck it" and finally made her way out of her car.

The Performance Center was busier than ever, with WWE having even more talent than before. It made Camila anxious to come back after all of this time, feeling as though she didn't deserve to regain her spot on the main roster after abandoning the sport for the past year.

Cami Castillo felt like a fraud.

Her petite frame made it through the familiar hallways to find Paul's office. His Triple H poster made her chuckle before knocking and hearing his voice on the other end welcoming her in.
