I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW
Diana Harrington swears she is nothing like her brother, Steve. In high school he was the perfect, popular boy with nice hair and got all the attention from girls. Diana, unfortunately, inherited his social status once she started high school and it has felt like a torture chamber ever since. She doesn't want to be seen as the darling younger sister of Steve Harrington. And she's always resented him for it. Diana sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the popular group of teens, even though she might look the part. She doesn't know exactly what it is that makes her feel so different from everyone else.
For Robin Buckley, she hates Steve Harrington for a lot of reasons. But what's been bothering her during the spring and summer of 1985 would be that she has a massive crush on his younger sister. Just her luck, since Steve already stole her first love Tammy Thompson. It makes being his coworker at Scoops Ahoy borderline unbearable. But Diana works at the Orange Julius directly across from the ice cream shop, and even though she stops by to pester Steve for some free ice cream, at least Robin gets to pine from afar. She knows it would, and could, never happen.
But after the secrets beneath Starcourt Mall are revealed to be more disastrous than Diana and Robin could have ever imagined, they learn that Steve and his troop of child friends have been dealing with something sinister. Diana has to accept that not only does she have monsters in her closet to confront, but she has very real monsters lurking beneath Hawkins, Indiana to deal with too.

author's note. yes my robin fic is here!! that's my baby that's my girl so of course i had to make this, i was very tempted to have two ocs so this could be a robin and steve fic, but perhaps i will make another fic that connects with this one. we'll see! i hope you all enjoy! <3
