(This story will have some changes in the first chapter about how they met.)

Marinette, a girl with blue hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a kind personality, is secretly Ladybug—the hero of Paris.
She was in class sitting next to her friend Alya, a smart girl with tan skin, green eyes, and a friendly vibe, with brown hair tipped in orange. That's when Ms. Bustier announced they had a new student. Everyone was excited to see who the girl might be.

A moment later, a girl walked in with emerald, cat-like eyes, dark red hair with bangs, and light olive skin.

The emerald-eyed girl stepped into the classroom, and for a brief moment her gaze locked with the sapphire-eyed girl's—Marinette's—before shifting toward the boy sitting below her: Adrien Agreste, Marinette's crush.
The emerald-eyed girl introduced herself with a sweet smile.

???: "Hi! My name is Lila. I'm so happy to be here, and I hope we can all be great friends!"
Lila said in a honeyed tone.

She immediately started lying about where she was from and how she arrived in Paris—not something Marinette cared about.
The problem came when Lila added:

Lila: "Oh! And I'm also really good friends with Ladybug. You could even say we're BEST friends~."

Marinette froze. She was Ladybug, and she had never seen this girl in her life. It irritated her—she hated when people lied about her.
Suddenly, Marinette stood up.

Marinette: "That's a lie!!"

Everyone turned to look at the sapphire-eyed girl. Lila frowned for just a second but quickly replaced it with a fake smile.

Lila: "What's wrong? Did I say something that upset you? I'm sooo sorry... I didn't mean to make you mad..."

Marinette: "Yes! What you said about being Ladybug's friend is a lie! Can you prove it?"

Lila was furious on the inside, but on the outside she forced herself to tear up a little, making the whole class turn against Marinette. Unfortunately, it worked—everyone started scolding her.
Except for the green-eyed boy, Adrien, who took Marinette's side. That annoyed Lila even more, especially since she was starting to like Adrien in a romantic way.

Time passed until lunch. Lila kept lying nonstop and also watched Marinette closely; by now, she knew the sapphire-eyed girl didn't believe a single word she said.

Later, when Marinette went to the bathroom, Lila followed her. In a fake, sugary tone, she said:

Lila: "Marinette, I don't know what I did to upset you... I just want to be your friend, but I guess you just don't like me and I—"

Before she could finish, Marinette cut her off:

Marinette: "Look, Lila—you don't need to pretend with me. I already know what you are, and I know you're a liar. So stop faking it, it's disgusting."

Lila smirked arrogantly, and silence filled the room...
