A week has passed since Simon's and Nia's wedding, before Simon would leave though he would throw the drill core to both Gimmy and Darry passing the torch for the two who would become the future Pilots of Gurren Lagann.

At the moment the moment both twins are with Leeron, discussing about meeting the other Spiral races and carrying on the torch of Gurren Lagann

Leeron: So you two How's it feel to be the next pilots of Gurren Lagann? I'd be a little nervous thinking about the responsibility and duty that comes with it.

Gimmy: (Giving a short sigh) Yeah, honestly im actually a little nervous bit it'd nothing me and Darry can't do right sis? (He says encouragingly)

Darry: Right! If Simon entrusts us with Lagann then I'm sure he knows we're both capable of it. Even if the odds are stacked against us we'll pull through no matter what!.

Leeron: Aw, seeing you two like this together makes me feel warm inside. Especially you Gimmy you've grown into quite the man yourself. (He says in a mischievous and playful way)

Gimmy: Jeez Leeron! Is there ever a time where you can't be weird around me?It's super creepy and just weirds me out dude.

Leeron: (giving a small laugh) Just messing with you two nothing more. You guys really don't have much when it comes to a sense of humor don't you?.

Darry: I'm not sure creeping kids out is humor Leeron.

Leeron: Aw you two are no fun.

At that moment Rossiu would enter the room the three were in that would shock them.

Rossiu: Gimmy, Darry, leeron glad i was able to find you two quickly, You three need to see this.

Darry: What is it Rossieu?

Rossieu: We found a rogue Mugann floating around floating near the moon. It must've been one that was possibly sent during you guy's mission to save Nia and defeat the Antispiral.

Leeron: But that doesn't make sense,I thought they all would've dissipated after Antispiral was defeated, even he was the one who told us Nia would disappear if he were ever defeated.

Rossiu: We're still trying to figure that out but it would be better to come with me so you can have a visual understanding of what we're dealing with.

As the three make their way through the long halls of what used to be Teppelin they find themselves arriving at a door that upon opening reveals itself as an observatory room where a screen is focused on the rogue Muggan with some members of Dai Gurren observing.

Kinon: I see you finally got the three Rossieu, you were gone for a while, I thought you weren't coming back.

Rossiu: I wasn't gone that long Kinon (His somewhat face visibly red)

Kinon: Um, anyway we found the Mugann floating near Galaxy Dai Gurren, fortunately however no one appears to be on the ship at the moment.

Yoko: So we just send Lagann up there and end it right?, it's nothing we haven't dealt with before.

Rossiu: That's what we considered until we saw the state of it. If you look closely the Mugann appears to be rapidly flashing colors while somewhat shaking.

Leeron: Yeah I was going to point that out, but figured it was pretty obvious so I didn't bother.

Darry: So what are we going to do about it?, we can't just leave it there.

Gimmy: I say we just take Lagann to destroy it but we need to stay on guard in case it's a trap.

Rossiu: (After some thought) I've decided we'll Lagann to take out the Mugann, but I want you to take caution when approaching.
