It was a rainy day in Ashmoor, Ivy Carter has finished another photography session and decided to head to the local café.

She entered the establishment, the door dinging with her entrance. She walked up to the front, recognizing her friend, Mia Torres, "Hey, Mia!" She said enthusiastically, a small, tired smile on her face.

Mia smiled back, "Hey, Ivy. Another tiring day, huh?"

Ivy nodded, leaning against the counter as Mia already set in her order, knowing exactly what Ivy wanted, "Yeah, obviously. Had to take pictures in this stupid rain. It almost ruined my entire progress," She spoke with bitterness.

Mia grimaced slightly, "Yikes, seems like hell. But I bet those films came out looking good,"

Ivy sighed softly, shrugging, "A little. But not as good as I hoped."

Mia looked at her with a warm, empathetic expression, "Don't be so down, Ivy. You'll get better, I promise you. You just have to push through all the hardships," She spoke encouragingly.

Ivy looked at her with a thoughtful expression, but she snapped out of it when Mia placed her coffee down in front of her.

She gave Mia a small smile, "Thank you.." She grabbed it, taking a small, grateful sip.

"Remember what I said, Ivy," Ivy looked at her, listening intently despite herself, "Keep trying. No matter how hard it gets, okay? I know you got this," She smiled softly.

Ivy's expression softened ever so slightly, smiling a bit more brighter. She nodded, "Alright, I will. Thanks Mia," She replied gratefully.

Mia patted her shoulder, "No problem. Now, be careful on your way home, okay? Don't want you getting sick either,"

Ivy glanced out the window, noting that the rain is now falling harder than before. She nodded, "I will,"

"Good, now, I gotta get back to my work, I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"Okay," she smiled, slowly backing up, "Talk to ya later," she waved bye before she finally left the café.

She pulled her hood over her head, holding her coffee in her hand as she began walking towards her house.

As she walked, she sipped her coffee while looking at the scenery. Despite the rainy and cloudy atmosphere, she thought everything looked very beautiful. She watched as cars zoomed past, people walking past as they had their own lives to live. The trees blew gently in the cold wind. She took a deep breath, feeling calmer and more relaxed than earlier.

------------

She walked up to her front door, grabbing her keys from her back pocket. She unlocked the door, entering with a satisfied sigh.

She closed and locked the door behind her, turning on the light.

She kicked off her shoes and shrugged off her jacket, sipping the rest of her coffee before throwing the cup away.

She grabbed her computer, sitting at her kitchen island, opening it. She grabbed her film camera, taking the USB, placing it in her computer. Many files appeared as she scrolled through them, looking through all the films she took throughout the day.

She looked at them with frustration, the films not turning out as perfect as she wanted. The rain messed it up, looking blotched and messy.

She groaned softly, rubbing her temples in frustration. She picked the best films, not printing them yet, but keeping them in case she can't get any better ones. She closed her computer, putting it back into her work bag.

She stood up and went to her bedroom, she changed into her cat pajamas. Putting her hair up in a messy bun before taking off her make up.

She stared at herself in her mirror, sighing softly, "When will I finally find my next big break?"

She shook her head before standing up and heading to make some dinner.

She looked around her kitchen, realizing she doesn't have much to even make anything. She didn't have enough money to grab anything neither. The only thing she found was some ramen.

She clicked her tongue in annoyance but she decided to make it anyways, knowing she shouldn't go to bed hungry.

She opened the lid a bit, poured water inside, before she placed it in the microwave. She put in three minutes before pressing start.

~~~
She sat down and began to eat her ramen. Her phone dinged beside her.
She barely even glanced at it. Too busy eating. But her phone dinged over and over again.
She groaned softly, grabbing it. It was a text from Lena Park - A best friend.
LENA PARK
"Look at this vintage camera I found!"
"Okay, and?"
"And the lady at the front desk said it's special. She said she'll keep it behind the shelf for me so I can go back and see it tomorrow!"
"And you texted me this, why?"
"Because I want you to go with me!"
"Why?"
"Because! Please!"
"Fine. Fine."
"Yay! See you tomorrow, bestie!"
Ivy sighed softly, placing her phone down. Her thoughts couldn't help but drift to that vintage camera photo Lena sent.
For some reason, it was beckoning towards her. And she wondered what was so special about it.
She shook her head, trying to snap out of it.
She threw the rest of her ramen away before she went and got ready for bed.
~~~

She laid in bed, her nightstand light shining on her contemplative face.
She was staring at the photo, unable to look away. It was like she felt connected to this camera somehow. Even though it looked 100 years old.

She groaned softly, turning her phone off, placing it on the nightstand.

She turned off the light and closed her eyes before sleep took over.
