3RD PERSON:
* It was a day like any other. The parkour noobs were failing jumps, or training to level up, the pros were doing their tasks, the masters were battling, and all was well. Except for the fact that three people were there. Three people who did not belong in Parkour Civilization. Three people from another universe.
PVP. EVBO:
* I awake from my sleep. My dreams were. . . odd. What even is a 360?? How can someone become parkour? Anyways, another day, another PVP check. Wait. Where am I? I thought I was in the middle of going after Tabi? Tabi. . . Anyways, seriously, where am I? I look around the strange, box-shaped house. There's a random hole in the floor of the house. It's one block wide, and it stretches across the whole width of the house. That's weird, who puts a hole in their house? *vine-boom sfx* Wait- who's house am I in? Hopefully it doesn't belong to anyone. I suddenly hear rapid knocking on my door. I jump across the hole, diamond sword in my hand, when I hear a thwap as I hit the floor. What? I look down at my feet to see them covered in leather boots? Where did I get these from? ...Whatever, I can worry about that later. I open my door to see. . . *vine-boom sfx* "Seawatt??" I gape at him in the door way, bow in his hand, and quiver slung across his back. "What, I. . . How are you here? Where is here anyways?" He shoves past me and closes the door, also wearing leather boots, I notice. "Listen to me. I know this may sound crazy, but I think we're in an alternate universe."
* ". . . What?"
* "Of course you wouldn't understand" He scoffs
* "No, I understand. But, how did we get here?" Seawatt looks at me for a second. "That, I don't know. But listen, I think this universe is a bizarre version of PVP Civilization. Instead of PVP, they do parkour, and it's call Parkour Civilization." I stare at him, an eyebrow raised skeptically. "No, seriously! I mean, look at the floor. Look at your feet. Look outside!" I peek out the window in the door and. . . *vine-boom sfx* "HOLY CRITICAL- YOU'RE ACTUALLY RIGHT!" Seawatt glares at me. "Yeah, what a surprise. I don't know if we're the only ones here though-" He gets interrupted by a loud know at the door. "Parkour check! Hurry up, you're already late." A brisk voice demanded from the other side of the door. Me and Seawatt look at eachother. "It's your house, I already did my Parkour check!"
*I sigh and open the door. Someone with iron boot awaits outside, with a setup in front of him. "Alright; you can do the one block jump for the cooked chicken, a one vertical block jump for the cooked beef, or go to one of the food stands near the market that way." He points to my right, which, in the distance, I spot some vendors, with some other players lined up. I turn back to the guy with the iron boots. "Okay. .? Um. I'm a bit new to Parkour Civilization, can you explain some things?" I smile awkwardly at him, as I jump to the block with the chicken on it. The played sighs. "Okay so, here's a basic rundown: You are a Parkour Noob, as are all the other players with leather boots on. If you earn three tickets from three separate parkour tests, you can head over to the Parkour Temple to try the course to try to rank up to a Parkour Pro, like me. You can continue on to try to become a Parkour Master, who have gold boots, or even potentially the Parkour Champion, who have diamond boots." The Pro infront of me squints at me. "You look. . . familiar. . ." We both stand there for a moment, staring at eachother. "Well, I don't really care right now. I need more practice time, now that my task's done. See ya, maybe." I stand at the door, a strange feeling coming over me. Why do I feel like I've been here before? Well, no me exactly, but a version of me. A weird sense of Deja Vú. . . "Are you going to stand there all day, or are you going to come back inside?" Seawatt's voice behind me jerks me out of my strange trance. I spin around and glare at him. "I'm coming, jeez. . ."
*30 minutes later, (after lots of arguing) we've finally devised a plan. We'll rank up to each level, and when we're Parkour Masters, we'll demand to meet with the Champion and tell him what our situation is. Since there's only one champion, they must be the most powerful being in Parkour Civilization. "So, we go get the tickets then go to the temple." Seawatt says a matter of factly, heading towards the door. I shoot him a look, a sudden sense of offense coming over me. "Are you daft? We obviously have to train! There's three tests for a reason, Seawatt." He turns around and blinks at me, obviously surprised at the tone of my voice. "Okay, Mr. Bossy. We'll train by doing one block jumps that are so hard!" He says in a sarcastic tone. "I'm just saying! Even I'm not stupid to not train for something when I'm in an unknown place!" Seawatt considers this for a moment before reluctantly nodding. "Okay, I guess you have a point." We walk (parkour?) around for a bit before stumbling across just what we needed: a training course. "Okay, we'll both train separately, and meet up when we're done, okay?" I say to Seawatt, who's staring at the various courses. "Uh huh. Okay."
* "Phew! This is surprisingly hard. . . Though kinda exhilarating! Although PVP is much better. My legs aren't meant to handle this. . ." I reach down to rub my calves as I talk to Seawatt who's sprawled out on the grass. The training course is the only place that we know of, besides the Temple, to have actual ground. "I. HATE. PARKOUR." Seawatt groans from his spot on the floor. I looked down at him from where I'm sitting. "No offense, but maybe you have because you're bad at it." *vine-boom sfx* Seawatt sits up immediately and glares at me. "HEY!! THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR." I shrug. "I don't know. For some reason, it feels oddly justified." I smirk at him, and Seawatt stands up grumbling, brushing dirt off his outfit. "Alright. I think we're ready. You already had some parkour training, right?" I nod. "Okay. Then I think we're ready to go."
* "And- hup!" My feet hit the floor on the last course. The dispenser in front of me spits out my last ticket and finally, me and Seawatt have all three tickets. Admitly, it took a few tries. . . Okay, more than a few. I'm glad that respawning is a normal thing here, or else I don't know what would've happened. "Oh, you've finally finished." Seawatt says from the sidelines. I glare at him. "As if it didn't take you fifteen times to get this right!" He puts his hands up in defense.
*"Hey! It was a difficult course!"
*"Yeah, but think about how difficult the Pro's way to rank up will be."
* ". . . Let's just go to the Temple."
*As we make our way to the Parkour Temple, I spot a few other Noobs going into the temple and out of, a steady trickle of traffic. "I guess those are either new Noobs or Noobs who fell." I mutter to myself, and Seawatt shrugs beside me. Standing in front of the gate to the temple, we both look at eachother. "I'll go up first." Seawatt says, and I can see I won't be able to argue with him on this one. I step back, and watch as he puts his tickets in and starts to descend upwards. He falls only once, and as I see him make the final jump, I drop my tickets into the hoppers on the floor. Man, if only I has my video journal machine. This would make an awesome journal entry! I make the first jump. Ha, imagine if I missed that first jump? That would be so lame! . . . And frustrating. As I go upwards, I spot someone spawn in on the green pad. I stop when I realize that they're holding an axe in their hand. ". . . Tabi?" I whisper. I quickly shake my head. Snap out of it! You have to get to the Pro level. Don't get distracted. You have to find answers. I make the final jump, and a set of doors open. I drop my leather boots into a puddle of lava in the floor, some sort of tradition. I make the jump across it, and as I make another jump, I feel a weight on my feet. I look down, and I see iron boots don my feet. I feel a rush of determination flow through me. I grip my sword tighter in my hand. As long as I can fight, there is always a way.
*Always.
