We talked for so long, that I didn't realize we had fallen asleep.

When we woke up the next morning, he kissed me on the forehead and then went into the restroom.

I felt so drained. I just wanted to lie in bed and eat ice cream.

"Babe!" he called out. It kind of felt weird hearing him say that so soon, but I could get used to it.

"Yes," I answered.

"I have a meeting with my agent at 11:30 today. Do you think you could hold down the fort or would you like to tag along?"

"I wish, but today is Kibbles' cremation. I'm having him put inside a gold heart-shaped urn." I said, trying not to choke up.

He came out of the bathroom and posted up by the door. "What time?"

"11. Why?"

"I don't want you having to face that alone."

"I'm fine. Besides, I won't be alone. I'll have all seventeen of my brothers there."

He laughed. "It is a lot of them." he joked.

"Watch out." I laughed.

We showed together and got ready for the day.

It felt like such a bittersweet moment. I had this brand new all black Mercedes-Benz, but I'm driving it to say goodbye to someone I thought I wouldn't lose anytime soon.

Once I made it home, it was like a stampede of football players rushing to my car.

"Savannah, please tell me you're not out here scamming." Said Devon. "How much was this car? You know we have to be careful with our budget."

"I didn't buy the car. Hunter bought it for me." I said Getting out to go inside.

Of course, they all followed, asking questions.

I didn't have time to answer. I was in a rush to get to Kibbles. The only reason I stopped by was to grab scruffles.

"Where are you headed to?" Vonnie asked.

"Today is Kibbles' cremation."

"Damn, can I come to? You know I was like his babysitter."

"You did such a fine job at watching him."

"This baby got you snapping at us like we're some randoms on the street." Said Tony. "Are you alright?"

I sighed. "Yes. Today is just a very emotional day for me, and I can't handle all of these questions. I'm trying to think straight. Have y'all seen scruffles?"

"The last time I checked, it was on your bed." Said Sam.

After getting scruffles and everything I needed, everyone except for Devon, hopped in the car.

"You're not coming?" I asked.

"No. It was just a dog." he shrugged and went inside.

I didn't have the energy to argue with him, so I turned the radio on and drove off.

Once we made it to the place, my heart skipped a beat. I wasn't ready, but I had to be strong.

Everyone hopped out of the car and we all rushed inside.

What the fuck is he doing here?

"Glenn, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I bought Kibbles for you. How dare you try and have his cremation without me? That's cold."

I went to the assistant and asked if I could add scruffles to Kibbles' cremation, but she informed me that he had already been cremated.

"What did you do?" I shouted, launching at Glenn.

Tony, grabbed me before I could reach him.

"He was my dog too, and you got here late. His cremation was at 11. Not 11:25" he fussed.

"I hate you! I fucking hate you!" I cried out.

"That was a pussy ass move you pulled," Von shouted, startling the assistant.

"Hey, I would hate to have you all put out of here." she chimed in.

"Where is he?" I cried.

"We will be bringing his ashes to the front momentarily. Be patient."

Glenn stood there with a sinister smug on his face.

We waited for about ten more minutes, before they came from the back with his ashes. "Here you are, ma'am," she said passing his ashes to me.

Glenn's smile quickly faded. "Wait, what are you doing?" he fumed. " His ashes were supposed to be coming with me."

"We had a call from our dear friend Hunter Flynn, stating that these ashes are to be with the legal owner of Kibbles which is Mrs Flynn," she said passing his ashes to me.

"Mrs Flynn?" Tony whispered.

Even I was confused, but I wasn't about to ruin my chances of getting Kibbles' ashes.

After we left the building, Glenn came storming after us. "How dare you, Savannah? You know that was dead wrong."

"Dead wrong is you having him cremated without me!" I fussed. "Dead wrong is you trying to take his ashes from me, knowing damn well you didn't raise him nor take care of him. You did this to be spiteful. Go to hell, Glenn."

As we all got inside the car, I looked up and noticed him getting ready to throw a rock at my window.
Vonnie hopped out of the car and tackled him to the ground.

As much as I would have loved to see him get his ass beat, I couldn't risk Vonnie being thrown in jail.

"Von, come on. We have to go." I shouted, rolling down my window.

He quickly got back in the car and I sped off, leaving nothing but dust behind.

When I made it home, it felt like all my emotions came rushing in. All I could do was cry!

I didn't have enough time to grieve Kibbles, and my last goodbye was stolen from me.

I couldn't think straight.

"It's okay, van van." Sam tried comforting me. "Glenn is going to get what's coming to him.

"I don't want revenge! That's not going to bring Kibbles back. It's just going to make things worse. I fucking hate Glenn."

I never thought Glenn and I would come to this. If it wasn't for Hunter, I probably wouldn't have gotten Kibbles' ashes back.

I placed his ashes inside scruffles and laid him gently in the center of my bed. "Watch over these knuckleheads while I'm gone," I said before closing my bedroom door.

"Where are you going?" Von asked.

"I'm staying with Hunter for a few days. Try not to fuck up my place."

"Are you okay?" Devon asked.

"I'm fine. Just going to lie down and get some rest. Maybe eat some ice cream or something."

"Okay, be safe. We love you."

"I love y'all too."
