Old ways and Arguments

"I can't believe Carmilla would side with that low-life garbage. I have to talk to her."

"I have to talk to her." Vaggie and Charlie said simultaneously.

"We should both go." Vaggie concluded.

"And I should probably go talk to Husk. Or at the very least make sure he doesn't get into any trouble." Andria said.

"Right, then. Niffty, I can't believe I'm saying this—, you're in charge."

"Hooray!" The little cyclops cheered.

"Yay, Aunt Niffty!" Athena and Dante cheered with her.

"Kids, stay with Niffty and Cherri, okay? And no more drinking." Andria said as she Vaggie and Charlie left.

Niffty turned to the couch, "Rise, children." As she spoke, thousands of roaches crawled out from the shadows. "It's time." Suddenly, Baxter and the children got mischievous smiles on their faces.

Husk trudged down the streets in the pouring rain, arriving at his old stomping grounds at the casino. The thunder screeched again as Husk walked in, still unawares of a certain princess following him. As he entered the casino his jaw slacked in a reminiscent awe, old memories flooding his mind. "Hey." A familiar voice snapped him out of his daze.

He turned to see Andria walking up next to him and a frown fell on his lips, "What do you want, Andria?"

"Nothing, I just came to make sure you were okay."

"Well, I'm fine. Go back to the hotel, Princess."

Andria examined the room, observing a strange mix of joy and anger in the building, "You know what, I think we could both use a break from the hotel. Would you mind, showing me around, you know, so I can  see what's so 'great' about this place?"

Husk couldn't help but crack a smile at her request, appreciating that someone finally respected his decisions, "You know, this is why you're my favourite, but, uh, better stay close. These guys tend to throw things when they lose all their money."  He and Andria walked further into the casino, even seeing a rabbit demon lose it because he had lost gambled away his Hell mortgage on his Hell house. "This place hasn't changed a bit." Husk smiled, leading Andria further down. He saw a horse demon get sent away after losing a game and decided to give it a shot, "One game can't hurt." Within a few minutes, a crowd had formed around the table. "Give me some luck, doll." Husk told the waitress passing by, who blew on the dice, "Gonna win big this time, I can feel it." The dice scattered across the table as it finally landed on a seven, "Lucky sevens! Yeah! Yeah, baby, that's it!" Husk laughed, grabbing a drink off the waitress' tray, "Now, Andria, this is where I'm meant to be."

Vaggie and Charlie walked into Carmilla's busy factory, "Just let me do the talking. She listens to me." Vaggie insisted.

Charlie folded her arms, stepping ahead of Vaggie, "Well, my dad listened to you, and look where that got us."

Vaggie scoffed as Charlie rolled her eyes with a scowl, "I don't have time for this lesbian drama. What is it you want?"

"I thought you stood with us!" Charlie yelled, "You're working for the man! The TV man!"

"You, you can't work with Vox." Vaggie shouted, "He's an insane person. I mean, literal garbage."
