"This isn't about sides, Zestial." Carmilla countered.
"You know better than to pay heed to his words. This path will lead to only ruin."
"The angels are coming, Zestial, and I can't...I won't lose anyone else. My loyalty is to my own. My girls. You..."
Zestial sighed in disappointment, "Do what you must, but I shan't join you in this conquest. My truest wish is that you cometh to thine senses posthaste. For when you do, I shall return to your side." With a soft whoosh he left.
"Zestial, I..." Carmilla started, but her friend had already disappeared.
Vaggie zoomed around the hotel, keeping everything spick and span, from cleaning the dishes, keeping Baxter from blowing up the hotel, delivering mail and fixing the TV, "Don't worry. It'll be working a minute." Vaggie then kicked the TV aggressively and when that didn't work, she punched, allowing it to finally work, although the news was not pleasing to hear, "This just in: a historic deal has been struck between Voxtek and Carmine Industries." Tom Trench reported.
"What? Oh, come on!" Vaggie complained.
"This is such an exciting partnership. With Carmine's innovation with angel weaponry, who knows what this could mean for the war efforts?" Vox, who was shaking hands with Carmilla then smiled brightly at the camera, "Voxtek loves women in STEM.". The screen then went back to Tom, land now for Hell's weather forecast: scream rain."
With that the thunder outside let out a screech. Vaggie marched over to the group, who were all sitting around the bar, "Guys, are you hearing this?"
"I know, right? Rain has no business screaming like that?" Cherri shrugged.
"Right ?" Andria agreed.
Husk turned to Charlie, pouring her another drink, "I told you, Princess, I'm done playing therapist. I ain't good at it. Maybe you should ask Little Miss Can't Pick a Fucking Name. She's the one running the place."
Charlie stuck her nose up angrily, "Hmm, well, I don't really want to speak to her right now. Besides, she's perfectly fine doing whatever she wants behind my back."
Vaggie marched up to the bar, leaning beside Charlie, "Well, Husk, if you see Charlie, can you let her know I've been doing everything around the hotel already? So...it's not like it'll make a difference."
"Well, Husk, if you see Vaggie, can you explain that hotel duties don't include incident ing a war?"
"Enough!" Husk banged the bar counter, "I'm so fucking done with this petty high school bullshit. I'm out!"
"Whoa, wait, what? No, no, no, you can't leave. The...the bar needs you." Charlie pleaded.
"Too bad. Alastor's gone, so I'm gone. I got no reason to stick around."
"Hey, what about Angel?" Cherri questioned, making Husk pause at the door.
"What about him? He's a grown up, doesn't need me." Husk responded, walking out the door.
Vaggie sighed heavily, "Great, now someone has to take over the bar, too. Fuck my life."
"Hmm, I wonder who that's gonna be?" Vaggie said sarcastically.
"Could this day get any worse?"Charlie groaned. Vox could be heard laughing on the TV, making the group go see what he was talking about. "And with Carmilla's aid, we can finally fulfill Lilith's dream. She started this resistance to take back our power by force. She wanted blood, now let's spill some blood. Resist!" This deeply angered Charlie, "Our mom never wanted violence. She empowered sinners. Peaceful protest. Ťħęřę ŵæş ñø błøøð!"
