The Tatsu siblings

Akane, meaning 'deep red', Akito meaning 'rising sun' and Tatsu meaning 'Japanese Dragon'.

Akane, despite looking like a young woman, is really over 1,000 years old. In the year 825, on planet Earth, Akane was cursed by her own home town. In the small Japanese village she was raised in, Akane lived with her mother, father, and her younger brother. One day, a mysterious hot liquid ran through the rivers of the village, killing off almost the entire Japanese population. People would begin coughing up substances, losing their ability to see, and some would even develop extra bones. Eventually, these bones began to stick out of their backs. These symptoms came in rapidly and there was absolutely no treatment. Unfortunately, Akane and her younger brother Akito eventually lost their parents to this mysterious plague. Within only a week, Akane and Akito were the only humans left in Japan. But at what cost? Akane was then left to fend for herself and her brother at the young age of 14, as Akito was only 10. This continued on for weeks until a mysterious man of a tall, slim figure (which was eventually revealed to be the elder brother of the Voss family, a family of powerful vampires.) would 'rescue' them, taking them to an underground mine which they would then be chained up and forced to stay silent as they were experimented on. Overtime, the children's mysterious plague symptoms eventually turned into big, crimson wings and horns. They began to cough up substances, which eventually turned into fire breathing. The man then gave them their 'new identity' which is their current names. They grew more powerful as the years went by, and eventually Akane grew strong enough to free herself and her brother from the chains, flying far away to never be seen by the man again. Or atleast this is what Akane and Akito THOUGHT happened..

Along with everything else they gained, the substance left a curse on the children of eternal life.

Enchantix High

Being enrolled here for a year already, Akane has always admired Enchantix's comforting marbled white walls, and it's huge cone-shape ceiling, it always made her feel like royalty. Enchantix's hallways roam with creatures of all kind, from Angels to Demons and Light fairies to Dark fairies. It is never a dull day in Enchantix. Despite majority of the days being full with danger and chaos, Akane was happy to keep her mind off of her younger brother living elsewhere and her terrible past.

In Enchantix, Vampires are absolutely despised by all but their own kind. For decades they have destroyed pure land and destructed precious lives. This of course lead them to gaining the stereotype of ALL Vampires being demonic and having bad intentions. Furthermore, most Vampires feed on other creatures such as fairies.

Enchantix Highschool has been the most high security, popular school in the realm of Enchantix for 200  years.
