When the discussion finally ended, Yamada reached out and gently brushed a strand of Y/N's hair.
She turned to him, a bit surprised, since he was sitting right behind her.
Yamada: You wanna go to the cafeteria?
Y/N: Nooo, I'm tired. Sorry if you'll have to go alone.
(She rested her head on the table, clearly exhausted.)
Yamada: Okay... do you want me to buy you something?
Y/N mumbled a sleepy "no."
Yamada smiled faintly and gave her a light tap on the head, his way of saying he was heading out.
As he walked down the hallway, Akane spotted him.
Akane: Oi, Yamada-kun! Where's Y/N? Why are you walking alone?
Yamada: She's asleep. (He replied with his usual bored expression.)
Akane: Ohh, where are you going, by the way? (She smiled at him.)
Yamada: Cafeteria.
Akane: Umm... can I tag along since you're going alone? (Her cheeks turned pink.)
Yamada gave her a tired look. He didn't really have a choice, so he just nodded.
Little did he know, Y/N had followed him, panting lightly after running down the hallway. She had forgotten to tell him to buy her favorite drink.
But when she saw Yamada talking with Akane, she stopped. Akane's face was red, and Y/N couldn't see Yamada's expression since his back was facing her.
She was about to call out his name... but then Yamada started walking away with Akane.
Y/N froze, her hand halfway raised.
After a moment, she sighed and turned back toward the classroom. She didn't want to interrupt them.
Still, Akane's blushing face lingered in her mind.
What were they talking about... and why was she blushing like that?
