They said the knocking started before midnight.
Three times. Always three.
The first night, no one believed it, midterms, caffeine, sleep deprivation. The usual monster.
The second night, someone recorded it. The sound wasn't just knocking anymore. It was... rhythm. Like someone tapping from the other side.
The third night, the door opened by itself.
After that, no one stayed in Room 256 longer than a week. The files were sealed, the reports vanished, and the school buried the story under new paint and better lighting.
But walls remember things.
Ten years later, the dorm reopened, fresh batch of students, new faces, same floor.
They thought it was just another room. Another number.
Until five girls found the box.
Until the knocks came back.
