After watching him leave for Toronto, my heart beating faster than I could ever imagine it has before I felt an immense amount of happiness I never thought I could feel before. Gilbert loved me. He kissed me. And even better, my one and only bosom friend, my best friend Diana was coming to Queens.

And when I thought things couldn't get better the most wonderful thing happened. Marilla and Matthew showed back up with a book...that contained the missing piece of my life I so long had longed to find. My mother, Bertha Shirley, had been a teacher and she had red hair. I also learned my parents loved me deeply.

After finishing helping Diana get all set up, as my ROOMMATE we went and explored the town a little bit. I was glorious. More glorious than I had imagined it to be.

When I got back I grabbed some paper and a pen and immediately started writing a letter to Gilbert.

Dear Gilbert,

I look like my mother... isn't that wonderful? After all this time of wondering about my red hair and calling it dreaded I finally learn I look like my mother. It was exactly the missing piece I needed to feel complete.

I hope you're settling well at U of T and I hope to see you soon. I'm already starting to miss you a little. I never imagined you would actually love me too. Then again I never also imagined that I would realize my feelings for you. Its funny how things work out aint it?

With love, Anne

P.S. I'll be making sure you don't miss any E's when you write back.

A/N: This is short because its 4:30 am and I just finished binge watching Anne With An E. This is a spur of the moment thing for me. I swear I will have more soon. Thank you for reading. I would like to know what ya'll had wanted to happen if they ever made a new season.
