CHAPTER 1- Prologue (Revised)

INDONESIA

"My fellow Indonesians, it is a grief moment for us all in this day. Our beloved president Soekarno, has passed away on 19th of August 1961, 7:30 am. Our Doctor has confirmed that He suffered from a Hearth attack before passing away. Vice President Mohammad Hatta will take upon his position in the goverment supported by first, the 1st comission of the parlement, second, The ABRI (Indonesian Military) general and their associate and third, the People of the revolutionary state . The funeral will be hosted on the national hero resting place and will be participated by all of Indonesian citizent" 

The broadcast spread through RRI and Indonesian national news through all of Indonesia from Aceh to newly united Irian Barat. Many Sultan and Kings grieve about this news and all of them went to Jakarta to attend the funeral. Many religious and political figures  also attend the funeral especially the Communist party as Soekarno is their great ally in the goverment.

Other nation especially SEA nation  also send representative to Indonesia to attend the funeral. Soviet Union sees this as a disaster as their only allies in the SEA have passed away. Meanwhile the US sees this as an opportunity to seize some influence with the absence of Soekarno.

Many Non allign nation also send their representative, except Yugoslav president, Joseph Broz Tito who went to Indonesia directly to attend Soekarno's funeral. Many Indonesian citizent on other nation also grieve about Soekarno's death.

This  became the turning point of the history and political tension in Indonesia. Because Of Soekarno's death, Hatta became the 2nd president and Prime minister of Indonesia. He begun commencing many reform such as equal state rights, special autonomy rights, development project and repatriation of Indonesian half etnic across the world. Dutch and  chinese mixed blood Indonesian then went back to their country after the preparation expatriation era in Soekarno's regime.

Due to the constitutional rule of one president at that time, Hatta is not classified as a president by the parlement.  Before Soekarno died, hatta who was the vice president and prime minister of Indonesia  and Soekarno had an argument which ended up resulting on Hatta leaving the goverment. But after Soekarno died, Hatta was recalled to the goverment as a prime minister.

Hatta then begun to put strict control on political parties which cause tension, especially PKI who lost majority power in the goverment. But Hatta compensate them by promising to put equal representative in the goverment alongside non allign civilliant representative. 

Hatta then resolve on turning the Indonesia Goverment into Federal republic, which doesn't violate the constitution but also wont disturb hatta's agenda.  Indonesia became a federal state which got mix reaction from many states. Aceh, Jogja, Solo, Maluku and Papua received this news well, while several other united republican and Nationalistdespise the idea .

Several state will be guarenteed self goverment and allowed to vote on national matter, but the absolute will still be held by the prime minsiter. Several  ABRI general disagree of the idea, but decide to follow it. ABRI will be more diverse as now each state having their own national guard (Garda national) which will work together with ABRI .

No G30SPKI, no rebellion and no malaysia confrontation due to Hatta's open hand policy.

SINGAPORE

In 1965, Malaysia officialy kicked out Singapore out of its territory after its independence. It was a nightmare for the nation for a while, before elected prime minister Lee Kuan Yew decided to rebuilt his nation from scratch.

Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) forms the People's Action Party (PAP) even earlier around 1952 and makes a strong showing in the 1955 General Election. The UK is also significantly more troubled by postwar economic recovery and thus grants Singapore internal self-governance at this point. Hence, Singapore is already led by LKY as Prime Minister from 1955 onwards.

Singapore then started to rebuild its military and economy step by step. 

Hatta then see this opportunity to seek economic and diplomatic relation with singapore. Lee Kuan Yew and Mohammad Hatta then met at Batam, where the Singa-Indo treaty was created.

The treaty contained economic and trading deals, Border deals alongside joint military relation to strengthen up the Batam-Singapore strait. Singapore, Indonesia and Indonesian special govern states also impose a attack on one, attack on all policy.

Mohammad Hatta relies on non block nation for military weapon export, mostly Yugoslavia, egypt and India which operates Soviet-American mixed weapon. Meanwhile Singapore bought Brittish and European made weapons.

 Indonesia still maintain its tupolev and B-25 Mitchell bomber fleet which is only used for patrol and maritime surveilance, while also on progress of buying new modern fleet of Helicopter and planes such as old sabre, C-130 Hercules, De havilland vampire, huey, sikorsky and MI-6.

Singapore started to bought Brittish Hawker jet alongside many other vehicles and equipment from Nato countries.

Its a new begining for Singapore and Indonesia  in the new world.
