"Why does the house feel so different?" Gabby asks while she swings Mila gently.

I roll my eyes. "Here you go heffa"

Gabby doubles over laughing.

I laugh so hard I almost wake up Mila after she fell asleep from eating. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and it was Michael.

"What's so funny?" he said walking over and taking Mila from my arms. "I got her" he whispers in my ear.

"Oh, hey Michael, just talking about mattresses and all that" Gabby looks at me and grins.

Michael looks confused. "Okay" he says slowly.

I roll my eyes. "Do you have work today Michael?" I asked closing my robe.

"Nah you got me here all day, did you need me to do something?"

"Yeah, probably mattress shopping" Gabby said sipping her coffee with a smirk behind the rim.

I glare at her. "Heffa don't you have a shift soon?" She stands up adjusting her badge.

"Girl you right, and you got some cobwebs to hit in the corner of the house" Gabby chuckles and she walks toward the door.

I follow behind her and discreetly flip her off. "I'll be cussing you out later Gabby"

She blows a kiss. "Bye, love you" she says laughing and shutting the door.

Michael walks up stairs to put Mila in her bassinet.

He comes back and walks over to me in the kitchen.

"Yall was talking about sex huh?" Michael said with a smirk but it was only wide enough just for one of his dimples to pop.

"Maybe" I said, clearing my throat.

"Mina, are you getting shy right now?" He said closing the space between us.

''Shy? nigga please. It's just we're not exactly..."

"Exactly what? Together? Mina I'm not going anywhere you already know this. The rest is up to you" He said, tucking a braid behind my ear.
