[2009. The Archfield Hotel]
It happened late at night, on a random Monday, after a day's shift at Seattle Grace.
She hadn't planned on staying the night at the Archfield with him, but they couldn't help themselves these days. Not since he'd proclaimed his love for her through a fist fight with Derek Shepherd. Truthfully, they only wanted each other more since then. Not that labels mattered to them, but everything in the world had felt sweeter, slower, softer.
She was his girlfriend now.
Mark noticed that hours felt wasted if they were not spent with her. And that night, he was adamant that she'd at least come over, to the Archfield, for dinner.
The Carbonara stayed untouched, but the bottle of red wine was now half empty. It was supposed to be a quick dinner. That was until Mark took both wine glasses, placed them back on the table and moved to sit on the edge of the bed, inviting her to sit on his lap, tapping his thigh. She walked over, sitting on him, body bending towards him as her arms automatically ran over his shoulder, finger laced in the small curls at the back of his head.
The first kiss had been soft, her hands moved to cup his face, his thumb tracing her cheekbone. She smiled into the kiss. His faint touch seemed to soothe her after a turbulent day. People were still talking– about them. Lexie Grey, the intern who's changed, who's decided to sleep her way to the top and Mark Sloan, the attending who was talking full advantage of Meredith Grey's invisible sister.
She didn't care what people had to say though, all of that noise would die down the moment she clocked out of her shift, finding herself in the arms of the man she was falling for. He was warm and comforting despite his chiseled physique. It was a version of Mark Sloan that was reserved only for her.
"Hmmm..." she hummed against his mouth, a small sound that melted into a smile as he deepened the kiss. His hand slid to the back of her neck, the pad of his thumb drawing lazy circles just under her hairline.
"Is that a 'hmmm' as in you're staying tonight?" he murmured, lips still brushing hers, eyes still closed.
"I shouldn't," she said, pulling away, thumb tracing his lip.
He frowned, tightening his grip on her waist, shifting her up his thigh, as if his hands alone could keep her anchored.
"Don't start with that," he murmured, voice low, lips brushing against the fabric of her shirt.
"I have early rounds," she reasoned, even as her fingers traced the back of his neck. "And I need to do laundry. I'm never home—the fridge is just...condiments and yogurt. Meredith's going to think I'm useless."
He huffed, head tipping forward until his forehead rested against her sternum. "Nope," he said into her chest, shaking his head faintly, voice muffled. "No. Nooo."
"Mark—" she laughed, her hand sliding up to his hair, carding through it.
He tilted his face slightly, his lips grazing her collarbone. "I like it when you do laundry here. Your clothes smell like lavender," he muttered, smirking almost to himself. "You always smell like lavender."

Romance"That's never happened before. You passed out. You scared the hell out of me." Lexie's mouth curved into a lazy, drowsy grin, "That... was... an orgasm." Mark Sloan thought he'd seen everything. Then Lexie Grey went and proved him wrong, in the best...
