"Have you seen her in music theory? She can literally play everything in her sight. Not to mention, she can freaking sing!"

Connor was over the top exaggerating.

She sounds like a screeching koala and every instrument cries from her abuse.

Uma O'Hara is nothing.

"You're insane if you think she can sing, Connor." I was glaring at my ignorant friend, annoyed by his strand of compliments for the wicked girl.

He was too naive to see that witch do her black magic.

He's a lost cause when it came to her.

Let me, Bradley Will Simpson, tell you my story that went a little like this.

Three years ago

I remembered my mom wanted me to do something more productive in middle school.

Thanks mom for the lack of support in my dreams for football. Note the sarcasm.

But I guess it wasn't the worst the decision she had ever made for me.

Since watching School of Rock, I wanted to learn how to play the guitar.

During the summer before sixth year, my dad purchased a sleek mahogany colored acoustic guitar and it sat on its little stand for months untouched.

There were moments he had caught me ogling at it and attempting to shred on it like a rockstar.

Alas the first day of school rolled around and my classes were a breeze.

Everything was nice and simple. Nothing to worry about.

The last class of the day, which made me somewhat nervous and excited, was music theory.

In this class, we were going to learn the overall view of music, how to read it, and some history.

That was just the basics.

The course provided additional lessons for instruments not taught in orchestra, band, and choir.

Guitar lessons were obviously ones I had scheduled for, partaking in it Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.

Around the corner of the music department, I found the door to the room of the said class after checking multiple plaques on the wall.

A few other people walked in but they rushed out as I entered the instrument cramped classroom.

"Are you sure you're in the right class, young man?" A man with circular tortoise glasses and a scruffy beard questioned upon my arrival.

"This is music theory isn't it?" I looked around and made eye contact with the only student seated.

Her long hair was pushed behind her ear when she looked up.

She was cute by the way she fixed a small smile before adverting her attention back to her desk.

"Well I was told I only have 7 kids scheduled for this class. Make yourself comfortable," The teacher glanced at me.

"Bradley. Bradley Simpson."

"I am Mr. Higgins. Nice to meet you, Bradley."

I gave the beardy man a nod before occupying the seat next to the girl.

Not too soon after getting a glimpse around the room, the bell rang and the other 5 have appeared, sitting far from each other as much as they could in the small room.
