Bright colorful lights. That was the first thing I noticed once I put on that weird headset. I blinked rapidly and my eyes eventually adjusted to reveal I was in some kind of circus tent.
"Whoa." I breathed, this game was super realistic.
I began to walk around, looking at all the cool stuff around me and feeling like a kid in a giant playground.
I walked up a spiral staircase attached to a yellow pole and found a giant slide that went into the biggest ball pit I've ever seen. "Don't mind if I do." I immediately slid down the slide, laughing with pure joy as I crashed into the ball pit. Man, this game felt so real!
I got out, dusting myself off as I continued to explore, jumping from square to square on the checkered floor. At one point I found a large hallway with doors that had cartoony faces on them. Of course, I entered it and smiled at all their designs. For some reason, some of the characters had a big red 'x' on their faces, but others didn't. What did that mean?
At one point I saw a character that reminded me of myself and busted out laughing at how awesome yet weird it looked. Out of curiosity I opened the door to find the room inside...exactly like my personality. I grinned widely as I stepped in, then froze. To my right was a mirror and I was staring at the avatar that was on the door outside.
"Cool, that must be my avatar." I remarked, smiling as I fiddled with my outfit and for my reflection to do the same thing. I exited and headed back to the main room to see what else there was when I heard something...it sounded like voices.
I hid behind some giant toy blocks and crept towards the sound to see several of the characters from the rooms sitting around in some kind of living area chatting about compost.
I grinned, time to mess with some NPC's.
I walked towards them all confident-like and slumped on an empty couch and gave them all finger guns. "Wassup."
They all stared at me, completely frozen.
"Is this an npc, or...?" The one with the pink triangle head asked.
"If I was an npc, would I be able to do this?" I attempted to do a backflip off the couch but landed on my face. "Ow."
The purple rabbit busted out laughing. "Oh man, this is great."
I glared at him, getting an idea. "Oh you think that's funny?" I walked towards him and picked him up and lifted him over my head with ease.
"Wait, what are you doing-"
Before he could finish, I chucked him like a javelin in-between two poles that looked like a football goal and threw my hands up in victory. "Woo! This game rocks!"
"Wait-you think this is a game?" The Raggidy Anne doll asked me. "Like a video game?"
"Yeah, isn't that what a vr headset is?" I laughed, but stopped at the uncomfortable silence. "This isn't a horror game is it?"
"Um...well..." The doll started.
"This isn't a game, you're stuck here forever." The purple rabbit was now beside me, rubbing his head and looking grumpy.
"Jax!" The doll scolded.
"Ok, I'm out." I went to remove the headset but discovered...it wasn't on my face. "What the..."
"Told ya." The rabbit grinned.
I immediately grew uneasy. "Why can't I take this headset off?!"
"Because you're stuck here." The clown said simply. "Just like us...forever..."
